Everyone you may (or may not) recognize in the new Bond game
Image: IO Interactive via PolygonThe 007 First Light cast and cameos list is full of recognizable faces, from actors in TV shows and movies to influencers and content creators you may completely miss in your playthrough. The writing and performances here are one of 007 First Light's greatest strengths, among many, as this story of young Bond and his journey to becoming a double-O agent is told.
Here's the full 007 First Light cast and cameos list for all the major characters, along with some minor ones.
007 First Light cast list
Here are all the actors who play main roles in 007 First Light, along with previous works you may have seen them in.
Patrick Gibson (James Bond)
Image: IO Interactive via PolygonWhile the search for the next Bond on the silver screen is still ongoing (as of writing this), Patrick Gibson is James Bond in the gaming world now. It's the youngest Bond we've seen in visual media, as he's just 26 during the events of the game, a bright-eyed, bushy-tailed MI6 recruit, yet to earn his status in the double-O program.
You may recognize Patrick Gibson from his prior roles as Dexter Morgan in Dexter: Original Sin, Nikolai Lantsov in Shadow and Bone, and Steve Winchell in The OA.
Kiera Lester (Eve Moneypenny)
Image: IO Interactive via PolygonKiera Lester plays Eve Moneypenny, most commonly known by just her last name, who in 007 First Light, is an MI6 intelligence officer. She guides Bond through his opening mission in Iceland and the two quickly become friends.
Prior to her debut video game role, she featured as Melons in Ruby Speaking, Monique Delacroix in Maigret, and Alicia McCoy in Death in Paradise.
Lennie James (John Greenway)
Image: IO Interactive via PolygonJohn Greenway is an original character for 007 First Light, never having featured in the novels or screen adaptations, and Lennie James' performance is arguably the game's very best. Greenway is a training instructor at MI6, essentially Bond's mentor, but he makes no attempt to hide the fact he doesn't think our protagonist is capable.
Lennie James has almost 100 acting credits to his name, with some of his most prominent roles being Morgan Jones in The Walking Dead, Frank Moses in Mayor of Kingstown, and Robert Hawkins in both Countdown and Jericho. Destiny 2 fans will also recognise him as the voice of Lord Shaxx.
Priyanga Burford (M)
Image: IO Interactive via PolygonM is the head of MI6 in the Bond universe and in 007 First Light, the codenamed character is played by Priyanga Burford. Due to the events during the game, she ends up under considerable pressure in her role, and when Bond must disobey her orders, she isn't pleased… but she's always reasonable and understanding.
Fun fact: Priyanga Burford has previously featured in the Bond universe, as she played Dr. Symes in No Time To Die, one of the scientists who is killed in the opening scene when Spectre invades. Other roles of hers include playing Sara Dhadwal in Industry and Lori Hernandez in Avenue 5.
Alastair Mackenzie (Q)
Image: IO Interactive via PolygonThe other codenamed character in Bond is Q, and he's always portrayed as an incredibly intelligent inventor, responsible for designing Bond's various gadgets and weaponry. In this game, Alastair Mackenzie is the face and voice, and he's always got Bond's back… even when he loses his gifted tools out in the field.
Alastair Mackenzie has previously featured as Perrin Fertha in Andor, John Bentley in Unforgotten, and Richard Aylard in The Crown.
Noémie Nakai (Isola Vale)
Image: IO Interactive via PolygonIsola Vale initially introduces herself to Bond as Charlotte Roth, head of DGSE, the French intelligence agency, but as he quickly finds out, that was a big ol' fib. We don't even know if Isola Vale is her real name, because her character is shrouded in mystery throughout the game, oftentimes appearing as an ally, but without a shadow of a doubt, she has her own agenda.
Noémie Nakai is the actor behind Isola Vale, and she's previously been in Tokyo Vice as Luna, Army of Thieves as Beatrix, and Never Let Me Go as Manami. This also isn't her first video game outing, as she was also the drift announcer in racing game Grid Legends.
Gemma Chan (Selina Tan)
Image: IO Interactive via PolygonSelina Tan is the head of tactical simulations at MI6, which means she runs the TacSim program. This is the second, optional mode in 007 First Light, where Bond can run various challenges and levels to set high scores and compete against other players on a leaderboard. It's also where players can flaunt cosmetics such as outfits and weapon skins, and speak to Tan, who's a friendly face among the rest of the stress MI6 is under.
Gemma Chan is another vastly experienced actor in the cast, so you may recognize her from her role as Minn-Erva in Captain Marvel or Sersi in Eternals, not to mention Maya in The Creator and both Mia and Anita in Humans. In the gaming world, she's also voiced Erys in Diablo 4.
Anthony Howell (Sir Nicholas Webb)
Image: IO Interactive via PolygonSir Nicholas Webb is the CEO of Webb Industries and the pioneer behind THEIA, the AI quantum computer that powers everything MI6 does. However, everything is not quite as it seems, as despite his philanthropic persona, there's more to him than meets the eye.
Anthony Howell is the man behind the character, previously known for playing Paul Milner in Foyle's War and Neil Ferguson in This Is England. However, his video game credits are perhaps where he's most recognizable: he's the voice of Samuels in Alien: Isolation, Margit, Morgott, and the Grafted Scion in Elden Ring, Elias in Diablo 4, and so much more.
Bart Edwards (Damien Webb)
Image: IO Interactive via PolygonDamien Webb is Sir Nicholas' son, and Bond meets him at the Webb Industries gala, when he's mid-conversation with Isola Vale. Damien is the chief security officer at Webb Industries, and he's impeccably suave and charismatic… However, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, and he quickly reveals who he truly is.
Bart Edwards has previously played Jonathan Kay in State of Happiness, Emhyr in The Witcher, and Fredrik in Young Wallander.
Chris O'Reilly (Lennox Monroe)
Image: IO Interactive via PolygonWhen Bond joins the MI6 recruit program, Lennox Monroe, another recruit, does not think he's got what it takes. He voices his disdain for Bond to Greenway, and pushes him to his limits. Eventually though, Bond proves himself, and the two become close friends, alongside Cressida Bright.
Chris O'Reilly is primarily known for his video game work, where he played Thórgestr in Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, alongside some unnamed characters in both Resident Evil: Requiem and Lords of the Fallen.
Jessica Rhodes (Cressida Bright)
Image: IO Interactive via PolygonCressida Bright goes easier on Bond than Monroe, and as the daughter of foreign secretary Stephen Bright, she comes from a privileged background. It's implied that she and Monroe fall for each other quickly, and with Bond third-wheeling, the trio become close friends, not to mention sharing an apartment together.
Jessica Rhodes' previous acting credits are short, but she's also been in Elden Ring as both Trina and the Dancer of Ranah, not to mention playing Laura Stone in Finders Keepers.
Raquel Cipriano (Theresa Lorca)
Image: IO Interactive via PolygonTheresa Lorca doesn't show up in 007 First Light until more than halfway through, where Bond must protect her from a potential assassination attempt at a luxury resort in Vietnam. She's a Portuguese geneticist who is in the process of developing a revolutionary strain of CO2-absorbing algae, and the two have a flirtatious, yet brief, relationship.
Raquel Cipriano has previously been in a number of Portuguese-produced media, including as Joana in Maternidade, "Novice #2" in The Wheel of Time, and Funcionária Escola in Lisbon Noir.
Lenny Kravitz (Bawma)
Image: IO Interactive via PolygonBawma is the leader of the black market town Aleph, in Mauritania, where Bond and Greenway make it their mission to get him to reveal the location of 009. The first glimpse they get of Bawma is when he decapitates a man who broke the law, however, so it's clear he's no pushover.
Lenny Kravitz is known for all sorts: primarily, he's a music artist, with 12 studio albums to his name, but has also featured in various movies and TV shows both as himself, and as an actor. He played Cinna in The Hunger Games, Roland Crane in Star, and Sean in Shotgun Wedding, but 007 First Light is his first video game.
007 First Light cameos list
Meanwhile, here are all the famous faces who just have cameos in 007 First Light.
Khaby Lame
If you don't know Khaby Lame by name, you probably know him by his face: he's the most followed creator on TikTok. Known for his satirical videos where he'll show a clip of someone failing to do something trivially easy, then doing it himself and gesturing towards it in a "see, it's easy!" manner, the Senegalese-born influencer was listed in Forbes' 30 under 30 and 40 under 40 lists in 2022.
In 007 First Light, you can find Lame at the Pearl resort in Vietnam, when Bond is exploring the grounds in search of Ellis White, Theresa Lorca, and Ramon Hernandez. If you speak with Lame, Bond will ask him where the tranquility cave is. Since the pair are standing right next to a sign pointing to the cave, Lame will gesture towards it in his classic style without saying anything.
Seán McLoughlin (JackSepticEye)
Image: IO Interactive via PolygonSeán McLoughlin, aka JackSepticEye, is an Irish content creator who began uploading videos to YouTube in 2012. He has over 30 million subscribers and is mostly known for his gaming content, although his reach has become so broad that his channel has also featured mainstream celebrities such as Tom Holland, Margot Robbie, and Brad Pitt.
When Bond is in a London nightclub, McLoughlin can be found working the cloakroom. The player can approach him, but he doesn't have any voice lines, as he's busy noting down someone's cloakroom number.
Michael Grzesiek (Shroud)
Michael Grzesiek, aka Shroud, is a streamer and content creator who mostly plays first-person shooters. His career began as a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive professional, most notably for Cloud9, but has been streaming full-time since 2018. He boasts over 11 million followers on Twitch and almost 7 million subscribers on YouTube, and he's previously won awards including Content Creator of the Year at The Game Awards in 2019.
When Bond is tasked with acquiring $100,000 to get an audience with Barkhad Ali in Aleph, one method he can choose is by entering a fighting ring. Winning here will net $60,000, and when Bond leaves, he's interrupted by Shroud, a spectator on the edge of the ring who says "Bro, that was insane! You wrecked those guys! Like, total surgical violence back there. Like, I mean it. You really kicked some serious ass!"
Chase & Status
Image: IO Interactive via PolygonDuring the London nightclub level, the same one that features JackSepticEye, the event Bond and the rest of the MI6 recruits are attending, is a Chase & Status DJ set. The pair can't be interacted with, but you can see them both on stage, with a few minutes of music on a loop.
Chase & Status are a British drum and bass duo made up of Saul Milton (Chase) and Will Kennard (Status). The pair have been active for over 20 years, collaborating with artists such as Rihanna, Example, and Stormzy.
Dimitri Vegas
Once Bond has acquired the $100,000 in Aleph, he and Greenway will be led through a VIP party by Barkhad Ali's guard on the way to the auction. Along the way, the DJ for the party will complain about his decks glitching. If Bond stops to ask about it, the DJ — played by Dimitri Vegas — will ask him to try fixing the generator.
Vegas is one half of Belgian DJ duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike (Dimitri Thivaios and Michael Thivaios), and together they're considered some of the best DJs in the world. DJ Mag has previously twice named them the best DJs in the world, and they have their own record label which features artists such as Martin Garrix, Lady Gaga, and Fatboy Slim.
