007 First Light: How to Win the Past Never Dies Auction

During the Past Never Dies Chapter of 007 First Light, you will have to participate in an auction after earning 100K to enter. However, it's not your typical auction, and actual money won't suffice. Instead, you need to offer up services for Bawma to make his civilization run more smoothly.

The auction gets even stranger as the host forces you to connect to a polygraph to determine if you are truthful with your offers. Failing the lie-detector will have the guards escorting you out of the auction, never to be able to return.

Winning the auction not only allows you to progress further, but it also earns you the achievement "Win the Auction." If you need help completing the Past Never Dies auction in 007 First Light, this guide is for you.

Introducing Yourself

When you first begin the auction in 007 First Light, Barkhad Ali asks everyone to introduce themselves to check if the polygraph is working properly and to set a baseline. You are the last one to go here, and you have three options to choose from.

• This man hates me
• Call me James
• Thrilled to be here

The choice you make here doesn't matter as any answer you give will have Greenway telling you to "dial it down." Any answer you give here will result in the polygraph turning green, indicating that you're telling the truth. There is no timer here to pay attention to, so you can take your time if you'd like.

The First Bid

Next up, since you are the only newcomer to the auction, Barkhad Ali lets you go first and place a bid. There are three options to choose from here, including:

• 8 million USD
• 3 million USD
• 1 million USD

Similar to introducing yourself earlier, the answer you choose here does not matter. Whichever answer you choose will have Barkhad Ali informing you that "it's not that kind of auction." In other words, they are not accepting cash bids. This question also doesn't have a timer, so no need to rush.

Due to your incorrect bid and the fact that they aren't accepting cash bids, Ali will force you to forfeit your bid and move onto the next participant.

Hacking the Polygraph

The next part in the auction is the most important and actually requires you to use your Q-lens. After the first two participants place their bid, Greenway will tell you to prevent the third participant from making an offer.

In order to do this, use your Q-lens and hack their polygraph real quick. Doing this will result in it turning red, indicating that they're lying, resulting in the guards escorting them out.

How to Win the Auction

After the other participant is escorted out, it's now Bond's turn to place a bid. You have three options to choose here, including:

• Remove Scorpius from Aleph
• Next-gen solar panel blueprints
• Two long distance missile strikes

Yet again, the choice you choose here does not matter. All that matters is that you select an answer before the circle timer runs out. However, someone will make a counter-offer, and as Ali is about to call it, you have to improvise. Select the improvise option to offer up "three decades worth of MI6 Intel.

After offering up MI6 intel, Ali will be very pleased and you will officially win the auction. In other words, the only way to lose the auction in 007 First Light is by not hacking the other participants' polygraph or not selecting an answer when the circle timer runs out.
