10 Best Custom Maps for MECCHA CHAMELEON

One of the best things about Steam games is that creators can go into the workshop and create new maps for games that they love. One game that was built for this is MECCHA CHAMELEON.

With there being only five maps in the base game, you will want to download some modded maps to add some variety to it. Thanks to the community, there are dozens of maps to choose from if you are tired of the game's base maps.

Whether you want to run around Springfield in a mock-up version of The Simpson's house, or hide in the Skeld from Among Us, the mod community has got you covered with some great maps for MECHA CHAMELEON.

10 The Skeld

Among Us

If you have played Among Us, you probably have a good idea of what the basic map looks like. The Skeld, made for MECCHA CHAMELEON, features all the classic locations from the base ship map in Among Us.

The map is huge, which is great for larger parties of eight or more people, but you might want to give the hunter a bit of extra time to traverse the map. There are also some sneaky locations you can crawl yourself up on, with the engine being a great place to hide.

The main downside is that the hallways of the map are a bit long, which makes it difficult to reach a hiding spot before time expires.

9 cs_Office

Garry's Mod

As someone who has never played CSGO, I found the office map to be a great place to play hide-and-seek. There are plenty of textures both inside and outside the buildings to blend into.

Plus, the map isn't overly large. One issue that many maps have is sizing, and the creator of the office map in MECCHA CHAMELEON made sure to get everything right so that it doesn't take forever to traverse the map.

The only thing that bothers everyone who plays this map is the annoying dripping sound that plays every minute or so. It throws you off and makes you think a chameleon is next to you when they aren't.

8 Minecraft

Blocky

The basic Minecraft map in MECCHA CHAMELEON is like a small village, but the homes look more like basic player homes you'd find on night one. That isn't a downside, as the basic colors will help you blend in as a chameleon.

Along with this, there are plenty of different textured blocks that range from trees to wood varieties, and even different building materials like concrete and plaster. I was able to hide as part of a crafting table and nobody noticed me.

With the textures being both high and low, it makes it a bit more difficult for the hunter, but that isn't a negative, as if you have a good hunter, this will make things more difficult for them. The only downside here is that the skybox needs to be fixed, as it is possible to hide on top of the trees.

7 Mario Kart

Raceway

The Mario Kart map is a very fun map that has many nooks and crannies that you can shove yourself into as a chameleon, making hiding a blast because you never know where you might fit in.

The creator of this map put in a lot of detail, with cars sitting around the track, the classic question mark blocks, and various bright colors that are sure to throw off the hunter.

Height, again, plays a bit of an issue here, but it isn't as bad as the Minecraft map. The height issue here is that a good hunter with a keen enough eye can snipe you from the spawn point on top of the main building. Just make sure you hide well so that doesn't happen.

6 Simpson's Family House

Welcome to Springfield

Welcome to Springfield. Strike that, welcome to the Simpson's Family House map in MECCHA CHAMELEON. This recreation of the classic home is a good blend of cartoony style and size that will make hiding quick and easy.

The cartoony style with bright matte colors is helpful when hiding, as it will let you choose one color and blend in easily. Of course, there are more detailed areas of the house for those who want a bit more of a challenge.

The size is also nice, as it allows you to navigate the house quickly, but you may get stuck on a few textures. The only major issue with this map is that there are hiding spots that feel pointless, like a vent that leads to nowhere.

5 Swimming Pool

Painted Style

Swimming Pool is a nice blend of size and detail that makes it easy to find a place to hide and make it possible to blend in before the hunters try to track you down. The map is full of smaller items that will help throw off the hunters.

Along with this, the artwork on the walls isn't extremely realistic, so if you try to blend in, you can easily scribble a matching piece of artwork on your body.

The size of the map is also perfect for those who are playing with a smaller group, but I wouldn't recommend it if you have more than six players, as it starts to get hectic.

4 Bikini Bottom

Under the Sea

If you are a fan of the SpongeBob SquarePants cartoon, you need to check out the Bikini Bottom map in MECCHA CHAMELEON. The creator did a great job recreating the classic locations from the show.

On the map, you can explore Conch Street, the Krusty Krab, the Chum Bucket, and more. With how big the map is, you won't have trouble finding a spot to hide, but it may take a bit to reach.

My favorite part of the map is the Krusty Krab. It has a lot of detail, and it is very fun to hide in. Plus, it helps that I have never been caught on this map.

3 The Village

Medieval Style

The Village map in MECCHA CHAMELEON is one of the best I have seen in general. It throws you into a fantasy medieval-style village and tells you to hide somewhere.

Its bright colors and cartoonish style help you hide as a chameleon since you don't need to worry about insane textures, but there is enough detail that you at least need to work a bit to blend in.

While this isn't the most detailed map I have seen, it is definitely up there, and is definitely one of my go-to maps when I play MECCHA with my friends.

2 MW2 Terminal

Nostalgia

Does anyone else have that Modern Warfare 2 nostalgia and crave to go back to when Call of Duty was at its peak? Well, someone went out of their way to recreate one of the best maps from that era in MECCHA CHAMELEON.

That's right, you can now play hide-and-seek in Terminal. The map is a faithful recreation of the original from Modern Warfare 2, and it offers plenty of places to hide. If you are sneaky, you can even blend into the flower beds.

Luckily, the creator didn't add the outside of the map, or it would have been way too big, but it is the perfect size for both smaller and larger parties.

1 Maplestory Lacheln

Cityscape

By far, the best map in MECCHA CHAMELEON is Maplestory Lecheln. It is similar to the Village map, in that you have various buildings and an entire marketplace to explore, but the map isn't too big, being the perfect size for any party.

The vibrant colors will help you blend in, with many of the lights helping the chameleons blend in. There are even some extra sneaky spots to hide if you know where to look.

Additionally, there is an entire clock tower that you can climb, allowing for some extra fun if you can match the stained-glass while painting. A large amount of time went into making this and it shows.
