Capcom has another massive hit with Pragmata, with many talking about how adorable the relationship is between the game's protagonists, Hugh and Diana. It feels like every moment in the game will make you say 'aww' despite it being a rather fast-paced shooter.

10 Open-World Games That Reward Exploration

Open worlds live or die on whether they give you a reason to leave the path. These ten make going off it genuinely worth your time.

There are some key moments throughout the game's story that are sure to melt your heart. These moments show how much Diana and Hugh care about each other, and just how adorable Diana can be. We can guarantee that you won't make it through this list without shedding a tear, chuckling, or finding amusement. After all, it is not every day that you see an AI child running after a holographic cat.

10 Chasing the Cat

Diana Can be Fixed

Pragmata Diana Jumping at Cat

Very early on in Pragmata, you will discover a holographic cat roaming around. Diana, being a child, does what all children do and chases the cat, trying desperately to catch it. We aren't sure what entices children to want to sneak up on animals, but they do it anyway.

The cat licks its paw as it's perched on a railing, and Diana jumps, only for the cat to move out of the way. Diana plummets, but Hugh quickly catches her.

Hugh immediately goes into dad mode, telling Diana that she is trying to get herself killed. It's a sincere moment that reminds any parent of what it's like to teach their child a lesson. It hits harder because, like any kid, Diana thinks she is invincible.

9 How About Diana?

She Has a Name

When Hugh first meets Diana, there is this moment of annoyance. He has just lost his crew, and now he is stuck on the moon with an AI that knows nothing about what is going on.

When sitting on the shuttle, Diana exclaims she has no idea why the bots are attacking you. There is this feeling of being lost. You have little direction, but then Hugh gives Diana her name.

This is the very first moment they connect, and there is something special about it. It is a moment that you will think back on throughout the game, and later moments reflect on just how far they have come.

8 Your First Picture

Diana's Gift

Pragmata Diana Giving Hugh a Picture

You've explored for a while, found some REMs, and given them to Diana. Up to now, it has been adorable seeing her react to these gifts and being excited about items found on Earth.

After giving her yet another gift, Diana suddenly asks if she can give you something. She then runs off and returns with a drawing of when she and Hugh boarded the tram for the first time.

This moment is so sudden that it can take you back, and the emotions will well up inside you. Sure, there are more drawings to come as you find more REMs, but the first drawing will stay with you for the whole game.

7 Diana Fell Down

Again

Pragmata Diana Being Caught by Hugh

A key part of the game is when you are trying to reach the comms tower. After navigating a lunar variant of New York City, you come face-to-face with a massive four-legged boss.

This boss is quite a hassle to deal with. After an arduous battle, the giant foe picks Hugh and Diana up, but Diana saves the day with her hacking abilities, causing a large structure to fall on the boss, crushing it.

Hugh and Diana plummet, but, like any good dad, Hugh quickly catches Diana, saving her from getting hurt. After asking if Diana is okay, she simply responds with, "I fell down again." This is followed shortly by a high five to show everything is okay. It is a moment that will stay in your mind for the rest of the game.

6 Biting the Software Disk

Diana Can Help

Pragmata Diana Biting Software

As you progress through Pragmata, you will see various blue crystal structures blocking your path. At first, there is no way to get around these, but that changes when you discover the Lim Eraser in the Mass Production Array.

When Diana finds this data drive, she immediately sticks it in her mouth, stunning Hugh, but also creating one of the more adorable scenes in the game. After that, she runs over, destroys a crystal barrier, and turns to Hugh proudly exclaiming that she wants to help.

Hugh relents, giving Diana her time to shine. She does a little joyful dance that is sure to melt your icy exterior. If you even have one at this point in the game.

5 Hide and Seek

Diana isn't Great at it

The shelter is a place in Pragmata where you can go to enhance your gear, unlock items, and play a game of hide and seek. It is another small bonus you unlock for finding the game's various REMS.

At some point, Diana will talk to Hugh about Hide and Seek. Hugh will then reminisce about playing the game as a kid, saying he was always excellent at it. Diana then challenges you to find her.

Diana will then proceed to hide somewhere in the shelter, and will congratulate you if you manage to find her (which you most certainly will). It is a game you can play over and over again, yet somehow it always manages to be wholesome fun, and something that will make you smile.

4 The Robot

A Hidden Dance

Pragmata Hugh Doing the Robot

Near the tram section of the shelter, there is the outfit storage. This is where you can find all the outfits you have collected throughout the game for both Diana and Hugh.

It is easy to simply select an outfit and leave, but this is an area where you should let the game linger for a while. Going idle for around five to six minutes here will initiate a special scene where Hugh and Diana do the robot.

These 10 open-world games haven't even launched yet, but they are already getting tons of attention.

First, Diana will begin dancing, and Hugh will quickly step up to show her how the dance is properly performed. Again, it is an adorable scene that shows how great the two are.

3 Stargazing

Earth is a Blue Marble

Pragmata Diana and Hugh Stargazing

When you reach the Lunum Mines, there is a lot of hectic jumping, dodging, and shooting that takes place. You are constantly trying to maneuver around enemies, including a massive Lunadigger.

However, there is a quiet moment in all this chaos, and it is when you get a picture-perfect view of the Earth. You can stop for a moment, and doing so will reward you with a cutscene where Diana and Hugh talk about the Earth.

Here, the pair talks about Earth, about how Hugh always loved looking up at the stars, and how he traveled constantly. He mentions his parents, and there is a clear parallel there with how he treats Diana. It is the perfect heartwarming, quiet moment.

2 It's Real!

And Came Out in 2026

Pragmata 2026 its real easter egg

Pragmata had a rather tumultuous development cycle. Originally, the game was revealed back in 2020, and the release date was supposed to be 2022. Obviously, that name came true.

Shortly after the reveal, the game entered development hell, and little was heard about Pragmata until 2025. Many believed the game was dead in development, never to see the light of day.

Thankfully, that wasn't true. To commemorate the dark times, however, there is an adorable easter egg in a cabin room. This detail is a small card that reads "2026. It's real," and it is covered in small drawings.

1 Water Gun

Splashed

Pragmata Diana with Water Gun

There are plenty of toys that you can unlock for Diana by finding the game's REMs. One of these toys is a water gun, and there is a special cutscene if you happen to see Diana playing with it.

When Diana is playing with the water gun, walk up to her, and a cutscene will start. During this scene, Diana is running around with the water gun, shooting it wildly, before turning to Hugh (who is pretending to be a monster) and shooting him.

It is one of the most adorable scenes in the game, and one that can easily be overlooked if you aren't paying attention to what Diana is doing in the shelter.
