Crimson Desert is a massive open-world adventure title with a lot to discover. Of course, like any game, it also has extra challenges to complete if you want to get all of its achievements.
Crimson Desert: 8 Best Skills to Unlock First
Here are the skills you should unlock as soon as possible in Crimson Desert.
Initially, the list of achievements in Crimson Desert doesn't seem too bad, but when you start trying to obtain them all, you realize how time-consuming it is. You have to be prepared to search every nook and cranny of the map and go to the edge of the world to get these achievements. By the time you have completed these challenges, you will be a true master of Crimson Desert.
10 Navigator of the Stars
Find the Constellations
Have you ever taken a moment to look up at the stars in Crimson Desert? The devs did a great job, as the world is full of amazing sights. Well, if you want the Navigator of Stars achievement, you will need to track down each of these amazing sights, and they are in the stars.
This isn't an achievement that you need to go out of your way to achieve during the campaign, but rather one that you can get at the end. It requires you to wear the Constellation Helm, go to specific locations, and spot constellations.
Like most of the achievements in Crimson Desert, this isn't extremely difficult, but it is more so than others and much more time-consuming, as it requires you to track these constellations down across the map. Without a guide, it can be rather annoying.
9 Maze Pathfinder
Always Turn Right
There are four mazes that you are required to complete in Crimson Desert if you want to get all the achievements. The achievement for completing these mazes is called Maze Pathfinder, and it is rather difficult to get.
First, you need to go out of your way to locate all four of these mazes. After this, you need to solve them, which is much easier said than done. None of these mazes will hold your hand, meaning it can take hours to solve one of them.
Solving all of these mazes requires you to have good perception, as you will need to consistently check your surroundings. You will also need to have strong puzzle-solving skills, as these are some of the more challenging puzzles in the game.
8 Ultimate Hunter
Track Down Beasts
It is not surprising that Crimson Desert has hunting challenges. After all, it seems that most games with hunting mechanics require you to track down specific creatures to complete challenges.
Part of the reason this achievement is annoying or difficult to obtain is that you need to obtain all the Abyss artifacts with the challenges. Completing them without these artifacts will make it so they don't count toward the achievement progress.
Keep in mind that not all of these challenges are very difficult, but the culmination of finding the abyss artifacts and completing all 11 of the challenges does get tedious after a while, and can be fairly difficult if you aren't prepared to hunt.
7 Beast Slayer
Time to Fight
Are you in the mood to fight strong bosses? Perfect. That means you are ready to take on each of the bosses in the New Power challenges to obtain the Beast Slayer achievement in Crimson Desert.
These bosses all appear as part of the faction quests, and they will each give you a run for your money. You must defeat Black Fang, Skevald the Carrion King, White Horn, Karanda, Queen Spider, Queen Stoneback Crab, and Queen Bismuth Oreback Crab.
While there are not many bosses to defeat for this achievement, the difficulty of them spikes up rather drastically, meaning you could spend hours trying to beat the same boss. Make sure you have plenty of good gear to take on these enemies.
6 Shadowlord
Time for Stealth
You will notice a theme on this list that most of the difficult achievements require you to complete several challenges of varying difficulty. The Shadowlord achievement requires you to complete 10 above-the-law challenges.
These range in difficulty, but they include tasks like destroying pike banners while undetected, stealing objects in quick succession, and raising your bounty to the maximum amount.
While these aren't the most difficult challenges, they do require a lot of time and effort to pull off, especially if you aren't good at remaining unseen. Just hope you don't get caught.
5 Brilliant Tactician
Operation Challenges
Are you a master tactician? The best way to find out is to go out of your way to attain the Brilliant Tactician achievement, which requires you to complete 10 operation challenges. Of course, these challenges aren't simple.
Some of these challenges include defeating enemies with a pike banner within a specific amount of time, assassinating enemies, or even defeating 30 enemies within a minute.
Like other challenge-based achievements, you need to first obtain all the abyss artifacts for the challenges, and then you need to go on to complete the challenges. As shown above, however, the challenges aren't all simple, and some will take a while to complete.
4 Conqueror of the Abyss
Abyss Challenges
It can be annoying needing to complete challenges, but that doesn't stop Crimson Desert from having several achievements that require you to complete numerous challenges. The Conqueror of the Abyss achievement is one of them, and it requires you to completely explore the abyss.
This means that you need to complete 40 different abyss challenges. What makes this a bit worse is that each of these challenges is the puzzles. While they aren't all difficult, it is annoying to need to spend hours completing them.
This achievement is not the only one on the list that will require you to spend several hours on a task to obtain it. How is that platinum achievement coming along?
7 Details That Prove Crimson Desert Is a Great RPG
Crimson Desert has many amazing aspects, and these details prove it.
3 Conqueror of Spires
So Many Puzzles
Crimson Desert is a game that does not shy away from making you complete an unprecedented number of puzzles. Seriously, the game has them everywhere, but there are eight puzzles that count toward the Conqueror of Spires achievement.
These spire puzzles are hidden across the map, requiring you to climb to some of the game's highest points to find them. Not only that, but these puzzles are some of the most difficult in the game, making it frustrating to complete once you have found them all.
Additionally, some of these spires can't even be unlocked until you have completed specific chapters in the game's story, which isn't bad if you planned on completing the game anyway, but it does mean you need to double back on occasion if you look for them early.
2 Expert Explorer
Time Consuming
Sometimes, an achievement is mostly difficult because of the massive number of tasks you need to complete to obtain it. That is exactly what makes the Expert Explorer achievement difficult to obtain.
This achievement states, "Revelation of every corner of Pywel brings the entire land into clear view." This is a fancy way of saying that you need to complete all the exploration challenges in the game.
This means that you need to complete nine exploration subcategories. This means you need to complete over 200 challenges, making this an achievement you will spend days getting.
1 Unvanquished Strategist
So Many Challenges
Games typically have umbrella challenges that require you to either collect all of a single item type or complete a wide array of challenges.
In Crimson Desert, you have the Unvanquished Strategist achievement, which requires you to complete all the mastery challenges across the weapon subcategories. There are eight weapon types that you have to completely master, and then there are special weapons and additional horse challenges.
This is undoubtedly one of the most difficult achievements to obtain in Crimson Desert, and it is also one of the most time-consuming, thanks to the numerous challenges you must complete to get it.
