007 is a franchise that has been around since the 1950s, and has since been in numerous movies and video games. As such, there is a wealth of items, locations, and characters to choose from when creating easter eggs.

It is very common for developers to place easter eggs and nods to previous iterations of a franchise in a current game. For the sake of 007 First Light, these hidden details can be found sprinkled throughout the game.

From shoes with knives at the tips, to the iconic Aston Martin, there are nods to several Bond projects, as well as various other franchises.

10 Street Fighter

Or is it Street Brawler?

007 First Light Movie Poster

After going through basic training, you end up in an apartment with Monroe and Cressida. As you settle in, you are asked to choose which piece of art you'd prefer. The choices are between a professional painting and a large movie poster.

The poster is for a movie called The Street Brawler, and if you thought it felt like a reference to an old martial arts film, you'd be correct. It is a direct reference to a movie called The Street Fighter.

The movie was produced in 1974 by Toei Company, and it features Sonny Chiba, though the in-game poster says it stars Sonny Fang. The artwork, however, is almost spot on with only a few differences.

9 Numerous Trophy Easter Eggs

Film Names

007 First Light Achievements

Over the years, there have been a lot of James Bond movies, with some of the most iconic of them being The World is Not Enough, From Russia with Love, and No Time to Die. Early on, you might notice that the trophies/achievements in the game are nods to many of the other James Bond media.

Achievements like Casino Royale, Skyfall, and For Your Eyes Only are all related to movies, with several others also being on the list. From Malta with Love is another achievement that is a reference to From Russia with Love.

Additionally, other trophy easter eggs include the classic catchphrase "Shaken, not stirred," as well as a nod to the 1986 novel Nobody Lives Forever.

8 Chasing Agent 47

Switching Outfits

007 First Light James With Woman

Admittedly, this is more of a hunch from fans and I, not a confirmed easter egg, but the chase sequence during chapter three feels like a strong reference to Agent 47 from the Hitman franchise.

After breaking into the hotel, you're tasked with tracking down a blond-haired man. Now, of course, Agent 47 isn't a blond-haired man, but the way the mission unfolds feels very Hitman-like, and many people agree that it feels like a reference to different Hitman missions.

As you chase after the man, he keeps disappearing, and then popping up in a new place with a different outfit. Bond even questions how the guy changes clothes so quickly.

7 Celebrity Appearances

Quite a Few

007 First Light Jacksepticeye in Bar

It is not uncommon for developers to place celebrities in games. This is also something that the James Bond films have done with celebrities like Madonna and Richard Branson making appearances.

It should come as no surprise that there are quite a few celebrity appearances in 007 First Light that you can easily overlook. For instance, Jacksecticeye appears at the coat check of the bar in Chapter Two, and Khaby Lame appears later in the game, pointing out obvious directions to Bond.

There are other celebrity appearances throughout the game as well, including Shroud and Chase & Status, with one appearing in Chapter Four after the fight club and the duo appearing in the nightclub.

6 Iconic Gadgets

Q's Lab is Great

007 First Light James in Q Lab

Q's Lab is an iconic location in any James Bond film, and is where Bond will collect any and all of his gadgets. In 007 First Light, you get to explore the lab multiple times, seeing some iconic gadgets in the process.

Early on, you will see the iconic phone booth from Goldeneye, as well as the dagger shoes in From Russia with Love. Along with this, you can spot the inflatable ski suit from The World is Not Enough, and various employees can be heard talking about failed gadgets.

One of the more iconic gadgets mentioned is the jetpack, which Bond uses in the movie Thunderball. You can seriously spend hours looking through Q's lab and not be disappointed.

5 The False Names Are References

Not Just Made Up

007 First Light James With Q

As you progress through 007 First Light, you will hear Bond go by a few different names. You will also hear him being introduced under a false name. These aren't just random pieces of dialogue or names.

Instead, these are references to some classic spy films and previous 007 movies. For instance, Mr. Beech is a reference to the Daniel Craig Bond film Casino Royale. Another classic film name is St. John Smythe, which is the alias Bond uses in A View to Kill.

You might also hear the name Kittridge thrown out. While this isn't a James Bond name, it is a reference to the Mission Impossible franchise. It just shows that you should pay more attention to the dialogue.

4 Cat Statue

A Reference to Blofeld

007 First Light Cat Statue

One of the most iconic Bond villains is Ernest Stavro Blofeld. He is the head of SPECTRE, and first appears in the Thunderball movie. Since then, he has made a few cameos and appearances throughout the movies.

The most iconic thing about Blofeld, however, is his love for cats, with him usually seen holding his own feline. In 007 First Light, a nod to this cat can be found in Nicholas Webb's office, as a cat statue is used to hide a secret switch.

It just shows that Blofeld isn't the only Bond villain who is more of a cat person. It's just a shame we didn't see the actual cat.

3 The Aston Martin

The Iconic Car

007 First Light Aston Martin

There are several cars that appear throughout 007 First Light, but the first one you get to drive is none other than the Aston Martin DBS that is famous for being driven in Casino Royale.

Aston Martin's have always been iconic James Bond vehicles, with the V8, DB10, and V12 all making appearances in past movies. This isn't the only car, however, as later in the game the double-o Jaguar concept vehicle makes an appearance.

Another famous vehicle is the Jaguar XKR from Die Another Day, which doesn't appear in the game, but a different model of green Jaguar is driven to the hotel.

2 Hideout Names

Or MI6 Corporations

007 First Light Ship WIth Logo

MI6 has used plenty of cover businesses for its operations over the years, and some of them have made their way into 007 First Light. When you are tracking down 009, you end up seeing two company logos that he uses.

The first of these logos is for Universal Exports, and it is a shipping company that MI6 used for many years. This changed when Blofeld discovered that it was an MI6 front.

The second logo is for Transworld Consortium. This is another cover business, and it is used in The Man with the Golden Gun. Nice to know 009 remembers these and puts them to use.

1 Theme Song Singers

Call Them Back, James

007 First Light Easter Eggs Singers

When you get into your apartment and do a bit of snooping around, you can find some sticky notes on a mirror. These little reminders are fun, and show that James Bond is still quite the ladies' man, with four different numbers of women to call back.

While the names may seem random, they actually belong to various singers who have sung theme songs over the years. One of the most notable is Adele, who sang the theme song to Skyfall.

The other names belong to Carly Simon and Tina Turner — two other theme song singers from over the years. James better be sure to call them back as soon as possible.
