Covering the video games industry since 2017, with experience in news, articles, lists, and reviews (and I blame The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask for that).
If you are a fan of RPGs and want a third-person version: Tayná Garcia is a Brazilian journalist (but you can call her Tay) who ended up working with video games after finishing Zelda: Majora's Mask when she was a kid. With more than eight years of experience in the segment, she has been an assistant editor at Jovem Nerd in the past and is currently a contributor at DualShockers and a writer for gaming magazines for Editora Europa. Oh, and she may like Hideo Kojima a bit too much.
Earnings call season is always an exciting time for fans, since these reports often harbor crucial details about upcoming titles, release windows, and – if we’re lucky – some major game announcements.

The games will have you controlling vast armies in a matter of minutes.
And this was exactly the case with 11 Bit Studios’ latest report. The Polish developer used the document not only to showcase their stable financial health but to reveal that they currently have four major projects in active development.
A Mix of Old and New
For starters, according to the report, the studio's financial situation remains good and “stable” at the moment. The data revealed that the sci-fi survival title The Alters has sold 545,000 copies, while the city-survival strategy epic Frostpunk 2 has reached approximately 880,000 copies sold.
That sounds pretty solid, and even the studio's leadership views both IPs as resounding successes. “The Alters showed that we can build new, global brands, and we are consistently developing Frostpunk as a long-term franchise," the CEO Przemysław Marszał stated.
On top of the sales figures, the report confirmed four games are currently in the works. Two of these are entirely new, unannounced IPs that the studio is keeping under wraps for now. However, the other two projects belong to existing franchises, and they sound more than simple sequels.
The first is an all-new Frostpunk game (codenamed Frostpunk 1886) that aims to expand the universe into a new genre. The second, and perhaps most surprising, is Project P15, described as a “reimagining of the cult classic This War of Mine.”
Unlike a standard remaster, P15 appears to be a ground-up reconstruction of the gritty survival simulation. "Projects like Frostpunk 1886 or the newly announced P15 are not standard remasters," Marszał explained. "They represent a fully modern, fresh take on the games that defined 11 Bit Studios, designed from the ground up with a multi-year lifecycle and long-term community engagement in mind."
Unlike a standard remaster, P15 appears to be a ground-up reconstruction of the gritty survival simulation.
Creative Director Michał Drozdowski also added to this vision, stating, "Our strategy is primarily an evolution that allows us to explore the boundaries of the medium even more boldly. We want every game to carry a unique, ambitious artistic vision and that special emotional charge that our players value most."
It sure is exciting to see 11 Bit Studios planning a mix of old and new projects for the future! This strategy keeps long-time fans engaged while drawing in new players, especially since the genres for these upcoming titles aren't fully set in stone yet. But for now, all we can do is wait and see what these reimaginings will truly look like.
