The Star Wars franchise, as its name suggests, is largely centered around the many intergalactic wars set in the galaxy far, far away, with many of the films' protagonists being war heroes of the Clone Wars, the Galactic Civil War, and the First Oder-Resistance War.

However, war isn't everything in the Star Wars universe and its galaxy is filled with just as many farmers, chefs, business owners, artists, musicians, and other people simply living their day-to-day lives as Jedi, Sith, and warships combat each other in large scale battles.

While these inhabitants of the galaxy may not have as exciting lives as Jedi or Sith, they still live fairly interesting lives in a galaxy filled with countless alien species and cultures, with people being able to experience these day-to-day lifestyles a bit in these 10 Star Wars video games.

9 Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

The Junkyards of Star Wars

Respawn Entertainment's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order does star a Jedi Padawan with Cal Kestis, and he does go on a rather fantastical and violence-filled adventure, but Fallen Order does feature a fair bit of events, people, and locations that make the SW galaxy feel all the more real.

For instance, the entire prologue of the game is incredibly relatable, with Kestis starting out as a worn-down Clone Wars-tech scrapper for Bracca's Scrapper Guild, just struggling to live a decent life while his coworker Prauff encourages him to explore the galaxy and improve his livelihood.

Of course, Kestis is forced to leave the planet anyway when the Inquisitorius discovers he's a surviving Padawan, but this also causes Kestis to learn more about how to cook, play music, repair tech, and make unlikely friends, with the latter activities being things many people can relate to.

In the now Legends MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic, the galaxy is split in a chaotic war between the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic, where people can play as lightsaber-wielding Jedi and Sith as well as blaster-wielding bounty hunters, soldiers, smugglers, and officers.

These are lifestyles that many people can't quite relate to, but on many of these classes' quests, players will encounter many beings struggling to live their lives on the backdrop of a deadly Galactic War.

A virtual reality game exclusive to the Meta Quest and PlayStation VR2, Tales from the Galaxy's Edge has people play as various characters as they help people on Batuu, such as aiding cantina owner Seezelslak and Droid Depot owner Mubo.

As Volo Bolus in Adventure Mode, players will learn how to repair pods and speeders from legendary podracer Sebulba and pit droids, with players being able to race in those pods and speeders via a top-down perspective in Adventure Mode and Arcade Mode.

For example, on Tatooine, players can find the legendary Ortolan pianist and notable pacifist Max Rebo and help him get to a gig on Naboo while on Kef Bir, people can help a farmer find his scattered herd of horse-like Orbaks.

Across all the aforementioned Star Wars games, fans can roleplay a variety of lifestyles in the galaxy far, far away, but there's one SW title that trumps every other game in terms of featuring a wide variety of immersive playstyles and that game is the MMORPG Star Wars Galaxies.

Unlike Star Wars: The Old Republic, which only offers players eight playable classes and 12 playable species, Star Wars Galaxies features over 30 professions and 10 playable species, allowing people to casually play as a musician or tailor or play more traditional combat roles such as a Jedi or commando.

While Galaxies' servers were officially shut down in 2011, it can still be played today via community-run emulators and servers, making Galaxies still the best way for SW fans to immerse themselves in relatable everyday life in the SW universe.
