One of the biggest parts of the story of Octopath Traveler 0 involves you rebuilding your hometown of Wishvale. During this questline, you will ultimately recreate many of the structures that you see during the opening sequence to the game.

Octopath Traveler 0: How to Open Blue Chests

Get some special items by opening the blue chests in Octopath Traveler 0.

During chapter 5 of the Kindlers of the Flame quest, you will rebuild the Sacred Flame Dais. This is the item that you interact with during the game's introduction for the Azure Flame Ceremony.

To upgrade this structure, you need to get your hands on three Azure Flamestones. Let's break down where you can find these items in Octopath Traveler 0.

All Azure Flamestone Locations

Octopath Traveler 0 Azure Flamestones merchant

There are three Azure Flamestones in Octopath Traveler 0. Luckily, one of them is obtained during the main story of the Kindlers of the Flame quest.

However, the other two aren't easily obtained, as you need to go out of your way to get your hands on them. Trust me, it is good to know the combat system, because battle will be involved.

How to Obtain

Wishvale/Path to the Flamebearer's Shrine	During the Kindlers of the Flame, Ch. 4 quest, you will have a battle with an Emerald Direwolf. Once this wolf is defeated, you will automatically receive the Azure Flamestone as part of the story.
Grandport	To reach Grandport, you will need to obtain the Queen Orsa and sail across the Outersea to the northeast. Grandport is a fair distance away from Rippletide in a level 39 area, so make sure you are prepared before you make the journey. Once in Grandport, purchase the Azure Flamestone from the Traveling Ore Merchant.
Silver Springs	After completing the game, continue through the prologue and progress through the Bestower of Wealth quest. During chapter 3, you will access the Silver Springs. Inside, head to the left and interact with the shining objects to obtain the last Azure Flamestone. This is for around level 36.

I recommend waiting to obtain the rest of the Azure Flamestones until you have reached level 36. Although the path to Grandport is challenging, you should be able to navigate it at this level. Going here early is also a great way to earn experience and level up more quickly.

All Sacred Flame Dais Upgrades

The Azure Flamestones are used on the Sacred Flame Dais in Wishvale to obtain special upgrades that are unique to this structure. Once you have all the Azure Flamestones, you will be able to upgrade this structure completely.

Upgrade

Description

Fast Travel	This upgrade allows you to fast travel to any location on the map. Traditionally, you are only allowed to fast travel to towns, but this allows you to jump directly to places like dungeons, fields, and more.
Area Research	If you want to 100% Octopath Traveler 0, you will want to get the Area Research upgrade, as this shows you exactly how many elite foes and chests remain in the overworld.
Animal Whisperer	You have probably noticed that some animals in the game have speech bubbles above their head. The Animal Whisperer upgrade allows you to talk to these animals. It also allows you to use your Path Actions on some of them.

You are free to choose which upgrade you want each time you use an Azure Flamestone. This is different from other structures in Wishvale that have set upgrade paths.
