Ethan Krieger (He/Him) is an editor at DualShockers that got started in the writing industry by covering professional basketball for a sports network. Despite being a diehard sports fan (mainly formula one, basketball, American football, and golf), video games have always been his #1 interest.
Super Meat Boy 3D is all about conquering tough-as-nails platforming challenges, but it is also a game that thankfully allows you to switch things up, too. This is done by providing unlockable characters, many of which fundamentally change how the game feels entirely by featuring different types of movement to master.

But how do you unlock all of these new characters? By collecting bandages, of course! Each main Light World level in the game hides a bandage somewhere, and your goal is to collect it, then finish the rest of the level without dying.
If you collect a bandage and die before completing a level, you'll need to re-collect it on your next attempt and complete the level in one go.
If you're having trouble locating any of the fifteen levels in World One - The Forest of Super Meat Boy 3D, we've got you covered below.
All Bandages in World One Video Guide
Often times for collectibles like these bandages, video guides end up being the most helpful. That's why above, I've prepared a narrated video guide that will walk you through exactly how to collect all 15 bandages.
Take a watch to learn your objective for all the levels in The Forest.
1-1 Easy Start
Easy Start's bandage is, well... an easy way to start.
Go as far north in the level as you can, then wall climb up the little mountain on your left.
1-2 Sawbot Struggle
In Sawbot Struggle, you'll jump across a large gap early on in the level. Take a second to look down, however.
The bandage is at the very bottom of this pit. Hop down, then wall climb back up top.
1-3 The Great Gap
In The Great Gap, move all the way right, then YOLO jump across the canyon to find the next bandage precariously placed atop a thin spire.
1-4 Cave Dash
Cave Dash's bandage is a little hidden. Climb up the way all the far right, then keep going to enter a secret room. The bandage is across the sawblades you'll need to jump over to collect it.
1-5 Canyon Crush
Look down just before crossing the second large gap in Canyon Crush, and you'll see a wooden, breakable wall below the main stage. Dash through to break the wall, and the bandage is right there.
1-6 Cliff Climb
At the very end of Cliff Climb, you'll see Bandage Girl to your right. Before finishing the stage, head left from here, and the bandage is on a metal platform.
1-7 Squirrel Hole
Halfway up the stage in Squirrel Hole, you'll reach a part with multiple wall climb paths upwards. The bandage is tucked away in the nook to the far right.
1-8 Meat Forest
Using the top of the platform just before it for extra height, you can jump to the top of the next platform with the two rotating sawblades to get the bandage in Meat Forest.
1-9 Valley of the Flying Sawblades
Halfway through Valley of the Flying Sawblades, you'll reach a giant tree trunk you can jump all the way down. The bandage is at the bottom. Just be mindful of the three projectile sawblades just above the bandage, and wall slide/jump up and down the tree trunk to time your dodges.
1-10 Suicide Siege
On the first main platform of Suicide Siege, the bandage is hidden away in the nook on the left. Easy.
1-11 Spelunking
At the very end of Spelunking, instead of finishing the level at Bandage Girl, wall run and jump the gap to the left to find bandage number eleven.
1-12 Thorn Trial
In Thorn Trial, you'll have to get to the very end of the stage for this bandage. Be careful not to run into Bandage Girl and keep going directly to the right. Wall run/jump while dodging the thorns to reach this next bandage.
1-13 Burning Valley
Early on in Burning Valley, there's a sort of metal billboard with a bank of spinning sawblades at the top. You'll need to very carefully wall climb this billboard, leap over the sawblades, and make it onto the platform behind the billboard to find the bandage. This is probably the hardest one in all of World One.
1-14 Treetop Trials
Just before the final jump of Treetop Trials, you can spot Bandage #14 hiding between the walls of this last platform. Hop into this gap, grab the bandage, then quickly attach to the back metal wall to safely climb back out and complete the level.
1-15 Rusty Outlook
One more bandage to go in The Forest! In Rusty Outlook, you'll reach a side-scrolling section with a lava floor and many spinning sawblades.
If you jump straight upward, you'll see a bank of rotating sawblades, and also spot this final bandage sitting directly above the blades, closer to you as the player looking at the screen in terms of depth perception.
It's a bit tricky, but you need to wall climb below the sawblades, make one final jump while pushing away from/canceling your wall hug, collect the bandage, then quickly reattach to the wall before you fall into the lava pit. It might take a couple of tries, but it's not too terribly tricky once you get the timing down.
Now, you're off to Sawanthropus for your first boss fight in the game. Best of luck.
