All Energy Tank Locations In Metroid Prime 4: Beyond

Are you planning to find all Energy Tanks in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond? These upgrades are quite useful throughout the campaign since they greatly improve Samus' survivability. Each one adds a health restoration charge or pip. Even if your current health bar gets fully depleted due to damage, another refilled segment ensures that you can stay on your feet.

UTO Research Center - Energy Tank

Location: UTO Research Center - This is the first Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Energy Tank that you obtain in the campaign. You can't miss it since you'll pick it up while traversing a shaft in your Morph Ball form.

Fury Green - Energy Tank locations map

The map above shows the locations of two Energy Tanks in Fury Green. It's the first major region that you get to explore in the campaign.

Found in the Cliffside Gate area. Use your newly acquired Psychic Glove ability to trace the pattern on the floating container.

To obtain this Energy Tank in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, you need to pick up the three elemental chips in their respective areas. Bring these to Mackenzie in your base camp in Fury Green to unlock elemental shot variants.

The Fire Chip/Fire Shot comes from Flare Pool. The Ice Chip/Ice Shot, meanwhile, comes from Ice Belt. Lastly, the Thunder Chip/Thunder Shot comes from Volt Forge. Note that you still need certain Power Suit abilities before you can access some areas.
Once you've unlocked the Fire Shot, scorch the doorway near the base camp to gain entry to the Sacred Flame Ceremony.
There are three puzzles in this chamber, one for each elemental ammo type, and they all reward Shot Expansion upgrades. You can learn about the solutions in our Shot Expansions guide.
After completing all three puzzles, the Energy Tank will appear in front of the Lamorn statue.

Volt Forge - Energy Tank locations map

There are a couple of Energy Tanks in the Volt Forge region. Both of these are dropped by the Sylux boss.

Found in Tower 2 of the Volt Forge. This item is a reward for beating the Sylux variant at this stage of the campaign.

Return to the Volt Forge after acquiring the Psychic Grapple ability from Flare Pool. Then, go down to Tower 1 - Collapsed Catwalk and enter the Generator room. Pick up the Thunder Chip and be ready to fight another Sylux clone. Defeat this foe to receive your reward.

Ice Belt - Energy Tank locations map

The map above has the locations of two additional Energy Tanks. Both of these are in the Ice Belt region.

You can obtain this Energy Tank in Metroid Prime 4 during your first visit to Ice Belt. After reaching the Power Station - Power Generator and rebooting the system, you'll notice a terminal in the lower section of the chamber. Activate it and head further down, where you'll see a grate. Turn into a Morph Ball and go through it, while avoiding the electric currents in the small nook.

Ice Belt - Energy Tank #2

There's a good chance that you saw this Energy Tank in the open area of the Medical Bays - Ice Canyon while making your way down the level. Your psychic powers can reveal the psi-ledges, but you still need the Psychic Grapple ability from Flare Pool. Once you have it, use the grapple to swing across to the floating ledge. Just watch out because the winds from the turbines can buffet you around.
