All Poppit shop locations in Mina the Hollower

2 days ago 3

Finding every Poppit shop in Mina the Hollower is hard, as the mysterious and elusive store owner prefers obscure caves over normal store locations. Chasing Poppit is worth it, though, as their "wisps" are among the best trinkets in the game, and they're not even that expensive.

Here's where to find every Poppit shop location in Mina the Hollower and how to get every wisp trinket.

All Poppit shop locations in Mina the Hollower

Mina the Hollower's Poppit is a pop-up store owner who appears in three different locations. Every Poppit shop sells one kear (key) and one type of wisp trinket. If you find all three Poppit stores and purchase every item in the last store you find (the order doesn't matter), you will discover a hidden event. We'll describe it in more detail at the end of this guide, but beware of spoilers.

The store descriptions below include a list of Poppit's stock in each location. Don't forget to bring enough bones if you plan to make a purchase! If you don't have enough bones, you can always return later Poppit will always reappear in any shop location as long as their stock hasn't sold out yet (even after the event). Feel free to visit the shops in any order.

If you'd like to get more info on reaching new areas and unlocking fast travel points, our guides on how to reach every area, how to unlock every train station, and where to find every mirror location in Mina the Hollower will help you out. To visit every Poppit shop, however, you don't need fast-traveling, as they're located in early-game areas close to Ossex.

Poppit shop location #1: Eastern Heath

Visit the Eastern Heath: Grassland area east of Ossex and go south (don't cross the bridge). Pass the loop with the spiky gears and go right at the first opportunity, then cross the room with the moving platform to the east.

You will find yourself in an area with three spiky gears and a purple doorway in the bottom right. If you pass through this doorway, you will enter Poppit's shop.

Poppit awaits on the right side of the cave, and will sell the following items:

  • Willow the Wisp: 400 bones After taking damage, summon a friendly wisp that boosts your attack power and speed.
  • Kear: 200 bones

Poppit shop location #2: Western Wilds

Go to the Western Wilds area west of Ossex. When you reach the reddish ground with the lava blocks, take the second exit to the north. If you haven't done so yet, you must burrow a lava stream (starting from a tile adjacent to a lava tile) to the red boulders blocking the exit, which will destroy them. Proceed to the northeast to enter the Molten Foundry.

Burrow into the gap in the northeast corner, then follow the grates, but go under the door instead of going into the corner.

When the path splits in two, go left, but beware that the area ahead is blocked by red boulders again. To remove them, burrow a lava stream through the tunnel on the left, then continue this stream to break the boulders in the north, behind which you'll find the second Poppit shop location.

See the purple flower? Burrow underneath it, move it to the west, then stop burrowing to shoot it across the narrow gap. On the other side of this gap, move the flower to the ledge in the south, then jump onto the flower to reach this elevated area.

Poppit sells the following items at this shop:

  • Keri the Wisp: 500 bones Press the jump button while airborne to float and extend your fall.
  • Kear: 300 bones

How to get the Disturbing Dance upgrade in Mina the Hollower

Once you've found Poppit's third location, purchase their items to trigger a mini-event: Poppit will move away, and an odd ghostly fellow will drag you into a forgotten cave, where you'll be forced to dance. Following a short cutscene, Mina obtains the Disturbing Dance upgrade (found in the same inventory tab as the cloak upgrades and dual sidearm permit upgrade). From now on, Mina can dance on command, which isn't particularly useful, but quite fun.

Note that you don't need to purchase every item sold by Poppit to obtain Disturbing Dance; you just need to find all three shop locations and purchase both the wisp and kear in the final location. Once the event has concluded, you can burrow through the holes on the right to return to any Poppit shop.
