Big discounts on some of the best Switch and Switch 2 games
Image: Bandai Namco Studios, Sora Ltd./NintendoPrime Day 2026's Switch deals may not include hardware discounts, but there's a nice little selection of the best Switch and Switch 2 games you can get for less than normal. Even some first-party Nintendo games are cheaper during the sale, including Tears of the Kingdom. We've rounded up 11 of the best Switch deals for Prime Day 2026 below, though bear in mind that price and availability were recorded at the time of publication and are subject to change.
1 Final Fantasy 7 Remake
Members of AVALANCHE and Cloud Strife in Final Fantasy 7 Remake.Image: Square EnixFinal Fantasy 7 Remake works far better on Switch 2 than we expected, even if it struggles with Cloud's hair, which bodes well for FF7 Revelation next year. If you've held off playing the first part of Square Enix's ambitious remake project, this is an excellent way to get started, and it includes the Intermission DLC starring Yuffie, too. You can get it for $29.99.
2 No Man's Sky
Image: Hello GamesNo Man's Sky has expanded over the years and morphed into something much bigger than a procedurally generated space exploration game. It still is that, but there's customizable ships, city building, heck, even a Pokemon-like mode now. You can get the Switch 1 version for $19.99, and there's a free Switch 2 upgrade you can download from the Nintendo eShop, too.
3 Kirby Air Riders
Smash Bros creator Masahiro Sakurai's improbable sequel is going for $49.99. Kirby Air Riders is everything good about the GameCube's Kirby Air Rider, plus a lot more that's better, and even more modes and challenges and stuff on top of that. The game's absolutely crammed. It's also deeper than it looks, with quite a lot of room to learn and strategize. Or you can just embrace chaos and hope for the best.
4 Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle and Sparks of Hope
Image: Ubisoft/NintendoThis pair of excellent squad-based strategy games is bundled together for $9.99. It's an Amazon exclusive package, so you won't find it anywhere else, and it's also "code in a box," so you're just getting the box art with a download code inside — no physical game card or key card. Still, $10 for two of the best third-party games on the original Switch is a slick deal (we called Sparks of Hope one of the best Mario spin-offs, period), even if it is digital only.
5 Unicorn Overlord
Image: VanillawareVanillaware's unique real-time strategy game Unicorn Overlord is discounted to $29.97, half off its usual price. You direct battalions of units across battlefields, but these aren't the impersonal squads of something like Age of Empires. Each group consists of characters with specific personalities and abilities, and where you place them on the group grid — and with whom — determines how effectively they and the entire squad perform. There's a lot to sink your teeth into here, which more than makes up for the pretty lackluster story.
6 Hitman: World of Assassination
The Switch 2 version of IO Interactive's rebooted Hitman trilogy is going for $29.99. That's the whole thing, too — the three games, plus the DLC locations and missions from each. None of the "part one" nonsense you deal with on Steam.
7 The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Image: Nintendo EPD/Nintendo via PolygonThe Switch 2 version of Tears of the Kingdom is on sale for $59.88, down from its usual $79.99, though you can also get the Switch 1 version for $49.94 if you don't have Nintendo's newer console yet. Regardless of platform, it's a fantastic follow-up to Breath of the Wild with even better puzzle designs and an open-world stuffed with personality.
8 Dragon Quest 1 and 2: HD-2D Remake
Image: Square EnixSquare Enix made Dragon Quest 3 look better with its HD-2D remake. With Dragon Quest and Dragon Quest 2, they practically made new games. Both include new story segments — Dragon Quest 2 even has a new character — and overhauls to the battle system making them less unwieldy than the originals, along with new secrets to track down and optional challenges. Square Enix made little of these changes at the time, but they're quietly among the best of the company's recent push to bring its classic catalogue to modern audiences. It's on sale for $39.99 for Switch and Switch 2, though there's no free upgrade path if you get the Switch version.
9 Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition
Image: CD Projekt RedCyberpunk 2077 shouldn't work on Switch 2, but it does — quite well, in fact. CD Projekt Red worked its magic to an even greater degree than with The Witcher 3's Switch port. Cyberpunk 2077 runs smoothly even in handheld mode, minus a few hitches in the Phantom Liberty areas, and it's got none of that "early Switch port blur" that smeared itself all over The Witcher 3. You can grab it for $57.99.
10 Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance
Image: Atlus via PolygonFill the time waiting for Persona 6 with one of the best SMT battle and fusion systems, along with a superb soundtrack. Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance also expands the original SMT 5's story with an alternate path and new dungeons, though you can still play the original if you want to. It's brutal, but gentler than the previous two SMT games, making it a good starting point if you're new to the series. The Switch version is on sale for $24.90.
