ARC Raiders has a dizzying number of quests for you to complete when you go Topside. Some of these are more impactful than others, however, and some will even give you a nice little cutscene at the end… like this one!

Whether it’s sabotaging drop-off points, crushing those pesky ARC units or simply bolting around picking up bits of scrap, every quest demands you veer off course and do something for the greater good. And this quest requires you to be somewhere you’ve probably never been before.

Quest Requirements

Before you even begin this quest, you’ll need to have completed the Unexpected Initiative questline given by Tian Wen, which primarily takes place in Buried City, and the Victory Ridge series of quests, which take place on the Dam map.

Chances are, you’re not really going to run into any Arc machines or players, as the majority of this quest takes place right on the edge of the Dam, where most people don’t bother to check. In which case, feel free to bring the free loadout, or maybe just 1 gun in the off chance that you run into trouble.

These are common mistakes that lead to players dying too frequently in ARC Raiders.

This quest won’t take you long, so feel free to complete it first and then head out into the map for some looting.

Completion Steps

Select the Dam, and then load into the match. The first thing you’ll need to do is head towards the Formicai Outpost, which can be found at the very far south of the map, below the Scrap Yard area.

If you spawn on the opposite side of the map, loot as much as you can while running to the outpost. Once you complete the quest, you can escape via the Testing Annex lift.

Once you spot the Outpost building, head up the hill towards the main entrance. As soon as you enter the small cabin connecting to the tower, look to your right to see a backpack sitting upon some drawers. The yellow colour will stand out, so you don’t miss it. Grab the flag and then proceed to the main tower.

Once you enter the tower, head outside to the easternmost exit, and you should see a tall pole. Interact with the pole to hoist the flag into the air, for the world to see. Don’t forget to loot the containers in the outpost, as they can have some valuable items.

Quest Rewards

For this quest completion, you’ll be shown a new cutscene, showing raiders hoisting their flags in unison. In addition, you’ll be given the following items:

A new colour (Dusted Cream) for your Aviator Outfit.
3x Mod Components
5x Duct Tape

With these, you can craft some mods for your guns on the Gunsmith workbench. Or if you don't need them, feel free to recycle them through your inventory.

Finally, completing this quest will unlock 3 new quests, as long as you meet the prerequisite requirements.
