ARC Raiders: How to Get the Rascal

The Rascal is one of the newer weapons in ARC Raiders and is also one of the best. It's a powerful grenade launcher that deals a good amount of damage to both ARC enemies and other Raiders, giving you an advantage in combat encounters.

In other words, you're going to want to get your hands on a Rascal as soon as possible to increase your chances of survival in the field. However, finding the Rascal is much more challenging than other weapons, considering it's blueprint is pretty rare.

If you really want to acquire the Rascal for your future runs, you have come to the right place. Read further to learn how to get the Rascal in ARC Raiders.

How to Get the Rascal in ARC Raiders

Unlike the Hullcracker, players can actually find the Rascal in the wild, and it doesn't have to be crafted in order to add it to your inventory. However, finding it during a run is incredibly rare, and there's no definite method on how to do so, so I recommend focusing on unlocking the ability to craft it in Speranza.

Similar to other guns in ARC Raiders, players will need to acquire a blueprint to unlock the ability to craft a Rascal in Speranza. Like all other blueprints in the game, obtaining the Rascal blueprint comes down to luck.

The two best ways to acquire the Rascal Blueprint are by either getting lucky with the Nomadic Envoys trader in Speranza (stock periodically changes) or by searching Security Lockers.

Blueprints have the best chance at dropping from Security Lockers, so looting these should be your main goal when it comes to acquiring the Rascal Blueprint. In order to unlock Security Lockers in ARC Raiders, you need to first unlock the Security Breach skill from the Survival branch of the skill tree. So, do that first, if you haven't already.

While searching Security Lockers for the Rascal Blueprint, I recommend doing it during certain events that increase the rarity of loot. For example, Night Raids and Hurricanes always have much better loot than a standard run. The combination of Security Lockers having rarer loot and these events having rarer loot will significantly increase your chances of the Rascal Blueprint dropping.

Personally, I find that Spaceport is the best place to focus on Security Lockers, simply because they are all fairly close to one another and easy to access. Check out the image below, which will show the location of all Security Lockers on the Spaceport map.

Now that you understand where all Security Lockers are located in Spaceport, you can just run this map over and over again, searching the lockers, until the Rascal Blueprint drops. It really shouldn't take too many attempts, as long as you don't continuously die during your runs.

Once you find yourself a Rascal Blueprint, make sure to pop that bad boy into your Safe Pocket. This way, even if you fail at extracting, you will still bring the blueprint home to Speranza.

Crafting the Rascal in ARC Raiders

Once you have the Rascal Blueprint in ARC Raiders, you can officially craft it whenever you want at the Gunsmith in the Workshop. Well, you'll need the correct materials first. Crafting the Rascal requires the following: 2x Advanced Mechanical Components, 3x Heavy Gun Parts, and 5x Canister.

Luckily, this crafting recipe is very manageable and fair, since none of these are typically hard to acquire. Advanced Mechanical Components can be crafted at the Refiner II, Heavy Gun Parts can be purchased from Celeste, and Canisters can be acquired by dismantling items.
