ARC Raiders: Keeping An Eye Out Walkthrough

With the release of the new Shrouded Sky patch in ARC Raiders comes a whole batch of lovely new quests for us to dig into. However, if you’re thinking about completing these as quickly as possible, I might advise you not to select the Hurricane map event while you’re searching for quest locations. I’m telling you from experience!

Keeping An Eye Out is a quest given to you by Celeste, taking place on the Blue Gate Map. You’re tasked with hunting down the last hideout of an odd fellow called Bilguun. However, this little hideaway isn’t exactly easy to find.

Let’s take a look at this quest and figure out how to complete it as quickly as possible.

Prerequisites

This is a relatively quick quest, as long as you know where to go. However, I would recommend bringing along a Zipline or two, since we’ll be dealing with some serious heights.

Dropping from this location won’t kill you, but it’ll put you in a pretty bad spot if someone else trying to do the quest decides that you’re fresh meat. Luckily, this spot is right at the edge of the map, where there isn’t a lot of competition or ARC enemies, so if you don’t have a Zipline, simply grab a free loadout and extract through the point closeby.

Quest Walkthrough

First, prepare your gear, then head into a game on the Blue Gate map. The quest tells you to head towards the Collapsed Highway, which is located in the far southwest of the map.

However, the location you’re looking for isn’t actually that close to the heading on the map. It’s actually a decent bit to the northwest. The first objective will check off when you’re close, so look out for that.

Head to the area circled in the image above, and look for where the highway breaks off. You’ll know you’re in the right spot when you see the long zipline that leads up to the very top of the highway.

The tiny hideout you’re looking for is actually located within/beneath the highway, just under the lip where it breaks off. Here are a few ways you can reach it:

• Use the zipline given and start sliding upwards. Just before you reach the top, jump, and if you timed it correctly, you’ll land below the ledge at the entrance.
• If you don’t fancy your ziplining chances, head to the top as normal instead. Reach the edge of the highway, and then drop down. Press the jump button to grab onto the ledge and pull yourself up.
• If you have your own zipline, you can target the hideout's entrance and construct your own route, giving you an easy, safe way up and back down.

Once you’re inside, simply take a picture of the art on the back wall, loot the place, and then you’re free to leave. You can either drop off the edge and take a decent chunk of damage, or head down via your own zipline. Luckily, there’s an extraction point super closeby to the northeast.

Quest Rewards

For completing this quest, you’ll gain access to the next quest in the series, A Rising Tide.

In addition, Celeste will give you 5 Pulse Mines and a Flame Spray. These can be pretty useful if you’re looting a locked room and don’t want to be snuck up on. However, if you don’t do much PvP, simply sell them for some quick cash.
