Dam Battlegrounds is the first Map you set foot on when you start playing ARC Raiders. And yet, even after all this time, exploring, looting, and slaying those pesky machines, there are still secrets to be found at this legendary location.

Most locked doors in ARC Raiders require a key card to open. And these cards come in a selection of rarities, with each room offering better rewards depending on the key's rarity. However, there is one spot that doesn’t require a key to get inside. Instead, you must first obtain the epic rarity Power Rod in order to open this door!

But just how do you obtain a Power Rod, and what’s inside this secret room? Well, let’s get into it!

Obtaining a Power Rod

Completing a Quest

There are a few ways to obtain a Power Rod. If you’ve never seen one of these items before, the easiest way to get your hands on one is by completing the Groundbreaking Quest, given to you by Apollo.

This quest takes place on the Blue Gate map and requires you to uncover information about an abandoned building project. Once completed, you’ll obtain 1 Power Rod.

Crafting and Recycling

If you’re really desperate to get inside this room and have a Snap Hook spare, you can dismantle one of these to receive a Power Rod.

The Snap Hook is a particularly valuable item that lets you swing around and reach high places with ease. It’s a bit tricky to use, but its power is undeniable. These are pretty rare, though, being a legendary item, so most players hesitate to use them. Don’t let them clog up your stash.

Also, if you have the Power Rod blueprint, you can craft one with the following materials at a level 3 Refiner:

2x Advanced Electrical Components
2x ARC Circuitry

Looting Electrical Locations

This next one might take you a while, but it is pretty reliable if you’re fast. Power Rods can be found in locations marked with the Electrical tag on the map. You’ll notice large vertical breaker boxes at these locations that you can breach and search.

In fact, there are a few of these very containers right next to the door that we are about to unlock. If you go onto a map with a condition active, like Night Raid or Electromagnetic Storm, you have an even higher chance of finding higher-tier items when looting, so this is a no-brainer.

Opening the Power Rod Door

Once you have your Power Rod, it’s time to head to the Power Generation Complex on the Dam.

Try to get to the door as quickly as you can. This is a pretty popular place for players to loot, so if you can get there within the first few minutes, you’ve got a good chance.

There are a few ways to get to the door, but the easiest and most sneaky is via the zipline southeast of the Complex. Zipline up, then head through the door leading west. If you want, you can loot these 2 rooms first for the chances of getting an extra Power Rod.

As soon as you head through to the next room, the Power Rod door is on your right. Use your Power Rod, and you’ll find a room with a bunch of lootable red lockers.

These contain a bunch of valuable loot, along with a very high chance of finding a Gun inside. I found an Anvil on my first attempt, which perhaps isn’t the most valuable gun in the world, but you can find Epic Tier guns too, if you’re lucky.
