ARC Raiders has been off to an incredible start since its launch on October 30th, taking home the best multiplayer game of the year award and cementing a solid player count—but there's always room for improvement, and Embark Studios contiues to make balancing changes.

This extraction shooter includes full-loot player-vs-player combat, and a long list of guns, gadgets, and explosives that Raiders can use to defeat ARCs, or each other, and some of them are currently a little more powerful than they should be.

In a game like this, where half of the fanbase avoids PvP and is generous and cooperative, and the other half enjoys the thrill of hunting down fellow Raiders, creating an even playing field will be no easy task.

Fortunately, Embark has been listening to community feedback and has already made a number of important changes, including the addition of aggression-based matchmaking.

When it comes to weapons and gadgets, Raiders quickly found out that the remote-detonated grenade called the Trigger 'Nade is one of the most powerful weapons to use, as it can be detonated midair and deals very high damage, and as a result, some Raiders have been calling for a nerf.

In the ARC Raiders Discord, one of the community managers was recently asked, "Can we please get an update on if they are going to balance PvP, like perhaps making trigger nades more expensive to craft? Or perhaps nerfing the damage."

Community Manager, Lily, responded, "The team's looking into some nerfs, including trigger nades. Keep an eye on ⁠game-announcements for updates!"

While no additional information was given about what other nerfs are currently being worked on, or what aspect of the trigger 'nades will be adjusted, we can say for sure that another wave of balancing changes will be released shortly.
