DualShockers participated in an enlightening Q&A session with the developers of Arknights: Endfield.
A spin-off of a previous mobile tower defense title simply called Arknights, Endfield looks to bring the franchise to much bigger, better, and bombastic heights. While the original game was popular and successful in its own right when it released worldwide in 2020, Arknights: Endfield seems to have a genuine chance to be the next big thing in the world of the Gacha video game.
With the launch on the horizon, we got one last look at the game in a new, cinematic release trailer before we all get to go hands-on with the action later on in the month.
Arknights: Endfield Release Trailer
To put it simply, the release trailer of Arknights: Endfield that just came out today is awesome. The game's strong visual presentation and deep sci-fi flair are on full display here, showing that the game seems to be a genuine visual feast full of strong, action-RPG style.
In addition to the exciting action on screen, the trailer is also supported by a banging track from Starset, an alt-metal band from Ohio that's been holding it down for over a decade and is currently signed to Razor & Tie Records.
The full 4+ minute trailer is below, so take a look to see just how cool Arknights: Endfield seems to be shaping up.
The Pre-Registration Numbers are Insane
To add to all of the excitement growing for Arknights: Endfield, a press release provided by the team today points to what will surely be a substantial launch for the title. At the time of writing, Arknights: Endfield has already seen over 35 million players pre-register for the game, which is frankly an absurd amount of interest pre-release.
At the time of writing, Arknights: Endfield has already seen over 35 million players pre-register for the game.
While there are already plenty of heavy-hitter games in the genre out there, such as Wuthering Waves (which just launched into its 3.0 version last month) and Honkai: Star Rail, these early numbers for Endfield prove that there is still a ton of space and interest in the genre for a newcomer to come onto the scene and make a massive impact.
Arknights: Endfield Launches on January 22, 2026
If the new release trailer for Arknights: Endfield and the ever-growing buzz for the game are enough to get you interested as well, you thankfully will not have to wait much longer at all.
Arknights: Endfield is slated to release in just six days on January 22, 2026. It will be available on PS5, PC, iOS, and Android, meaning it'll be accessible to most gamers out there in at least some capacity. Better yet, and similar to its contemporaries in the genre, Endfield will be Free-To-Play, so there's no investment needed to get in on the action and try it out for yourself.
If you want more in-depth detail on the game, DualShockers was able to go hands-on for a preview in 2025, and also had the chance to interview some members of the team. Our impressions of the game were highly positive overall, so we'll join in with everyone else that's counting down the days until the game comes out next week.
A new piece on the PlayStation Blog also went live today, which gives much more in-depth detail about what players can expect when they jump in.
