ARMA Reforger Patch 1.7 Targets Critical Xbox Issues

For Xbox Series X|S players annoyed at Arma Reforger's performance, your answers are finally getting answered, though a few months later than expected.

It looks like developer Bohemia Interactive is set to roll out patch 1.7 for the experimental branch soon, and it includes a bunch of fixes, and it includes one aimed at the persistent Xbox performance issues.

While there's no official announcement, the latest info from the developers is a glimmer of hope for Arma Reforger Xbox players.

Arma Reforger Critical Fixes for Xbox Version are on the Way (Finally!)

In a conversation on the official Arma Reforger Discord channel, one of Bohemia's devs confirmed that patch 1.7 will contain "critical fixes and optimizations for common issues on Xbox."

For those unaware, the Xbox version of Arma Reforger has been plagued with freezing issues that literally break the game. Check out this clip where you can see how a sniper can lose their target or miss their shot thanks to this technical issue.

Bear in mind, nothing official has been announced by Bohemia on when we can expect patch 1.7 to be released on the retail build of the game, though we're hoping for Xbox players' sake, that's sooner rather than later.

Outside of the improvements headed to the Xbox version, some of the other items mentioned in the experimental 1.7 update include a playable FIA faction and a potential player limit increase.

There are also other fixes and even new features being looked into, but we'll know for sure once the patch is out. Of course, it's also worth noting that not everything added or changed in the experimental build is applied to the retail version. That's usually the case, but it's not a 1:1 scenario all the time.
