'Battening Down' quest walkthrough in Arc Raiders

The Arc Raiders "Battening Down" quest is one of the first available to you in the game's latest Riven Tides update, and as you may expect, it's set entirely within the seafront locale. Given to you by Apollo, it requires visiting three very specific places: the seawall, hotel beach, and a leaking oil pipe.

As is often the case with Arc Raiders quests though, the exact locations are quite tricky to find. Here's a complete step-by-step guide on how to complete the "Battening Down" quest on Riven Tides.

'Battening Down' quest steps in Arc Raiders

'Battening Down' has three steps in total, and they can be completed in any order:

• Photograph the cracks forming in the seawall.
• Sample the shoreline near the hotel beach.
• Fix the leaking oil pipe in the northeast.

If you spawn on the western side of the map, I'd recommend heading to the shoreline near the hotel beach first, whereas if you're on the eastern side, both the cracks in the seawall and the leaking oil pipe are closer.

Where to photograph the cracks forming in the seawall

To find the cracks forming in the seawall on Riven Tides, look for the Wavebreaker point of interest on the map. Just left of the location text on the map, there's a huge hole in the wall, and if you go to the northern tip of the structure, you'll find a shipping container next to a network of cracks forming in the concrete.

Where to sample the shoreline near the hotel beach

For this objective, you'll want to head to the northwest corner of the map, to Azzurro Beach. Go directly north of the location text on the map, southwest of the Seabed, and you should find some seaweed to sample, right where the water meets the sand.

Where to fix the leaking oil pipe in the northeast

Finally, this objective is at the other end of the beach, near where you photographed the cracks. Follow the Wavebreaker all the way to the far east, where you can see two huge pipes coming out of the ocean. Head to the southernmost point of these pipes, where they almost hit the seawall, and you'll be able to repair one of them next to some water with that classic colorful oil spill effect.
