While Battlefield 6 managed to bring the franchise to new heights, it did manage to lose a ton of players mere months after release. Publisher Electronic Arts is looking to amend that, and it's doing so by offering players a chance to try the Battlefield 6 experience for free.
Starting today, console and PC players will be able to try Battlefield 6, and perfect timing too, since Season 2: Nightfall has just launched today.

The free trial starts today and will be available until March 24. Those curious, you'll be able to try out four maps, which include: Contaminated, Hagental Base, Eastwood, and Mirak Valley. While Battlefield 6 managed to bring the franchise to new heights, it did manage to lose a ton of players
For those jumping into the game expecting it to be like Call of Duty, you'll have a hard time finding success that way, as Battlefield 6 rewards team play and going after the objective more than trying to get as many kills as you can. Our review of the game talks quite highly of the overall experience, even if the single-player was a subpar mode, stating, "It's not the best shooter ever by any margin, but it is the first Battlefield that is ready to dominate the multiplayer scene after years of Call of Duty tyranny, and I for one welcome our new rulers."

In related news, Battlefield 6 was snubbed by the BAFTA awards' Multiplayer category, which is a bit surprising to see. While EA managed to craft something special with Battlefield 6, the publisher might have a hard time replicating its success, given Vince Zampella, the co-creator of the Call of Duty franchise and the former head of the Battlefield brand at EA, tragically died in a car crash in December last year.
