Beast of Reincarnation is the latest action RPG from Pokémon studio Game Freak. Like some of its Pokémon games, Beast of Reincarnation has had a rough launch, with players being frustrated by technical issues. Game Freak has quickly responded to those complaints with a promise of "continuous updates" to address the RPG's problems.

In a statement shared on X, Game Freak thanked players for checking out Beast of Reincarnation. "We take your feedback to heart and are currently planning a series of continuous updates," the studio said. The next patch, which Game Freak is looking to get out within the next week, will adjust the camera, improve narrative pacing (which will be tweaked in future updates as well), bring general bug fixes, make the default setting Performance mode, and increase the text size.

As players have pointed out, the game's text is just too damn small. When playing on a couch some distance away from your TV, you really have to strain your eyes to have any chance of reading on-screen text.

Beast of Reincarnation received a mixed response from critics. "Beast of Reincarnation does kick with its breathtaking action, powered by rich RPG systems you’d expect from the studio that once revolutionized the genre, but its identity is buried under unrefined ideas borrowed from some of the decade’s best games," Polygon's Giovanni Colantonio wrote in his review.

Players have felt similarly after their time with the game. Beast of Reincarnation currently sits with about 1,700 "mixed" player reviews on Steam. "All in all it feels like a TEMU Stellar Blade for a AAA price," one Steam reviewer wrote. After playing Beast of Reincarnation for about a dozen hours, I can't say I disagree.

Fictions, the game's publisher, has a feedback form on its support site if you want to report any issues or bugs you run into while playing Beast of Reincarnation. Maybe that's the place for me to ask Game Freak to address the dog's habit of ruining exploration.
