Palo Pori is a charming village known for its artisans and culinary excellence, standing as a beacon of peace amid encroaching darkness. As ravenous monsters claim the surrounding lands, Panko, a young and gifted chef, steps up to manage the local eatery after his teacher mysteriously disappears. Alongside tending to ingredients and patrons, he serves the Caretakers—bold adventurers tasked with saving the world. In this unique adventure, success begins in the kitchen where fresh ingredients are key. Players gather resources, care for animals, and cultivate fruits and vegetables to build a cozy farm-to-table restaurant. Foraging for wild herbs and unlocking new seeds adds depth to meal preparation, while engaging cooking mini-games challenge players to chop, flip, and sizzle their way through mouthwatering dishes crafted to satisfy the tastes of the townsfolk and visiting heroes alike. The Caretakers, each with distinct flavor preferences influenced by their regions, rely on Panko’s culinary skills to boost their morale and unlock new abilities. Crafting balanced meals tailored to their cravings powers up their decks, which translate directly into turn-based, deck-building combat inspired by trick-taking card games. After dining, the Caretakers embark on monster-slaying quests, with their battles played out through charming puppet theatre sequences. Players must strategically use ingredient effects to counter opponents’ flavor magic, deploying cards that put enemies to sleep, disrupt their moves, or amplify attacks, all while avoiding being outmaneuvered themselves.
