There are many secrets hidden away in Octopath Traveler 0. For instance, if you go out of your way, you can obtain the large ship called The Queen Orsa for free.

Octopath Traveler 0: Where to Find Herb Avinea

Gather some Herb Avinea for Jasper so he will return to Wishvale in Octopath Traveler 0.

During your adventure, you most likely have come across a handful of blue chests, but each time you interact with one of them, it says that it is locked. Looks like you will need to figure out a way to get these chests open, and lockpicking them with the thief class isn't the option.

Let's break down how to crack open all those shiny blue chests in Octopath Traveler 0.

How to Unlock Blue Chests

Octopath Traveler 0 Blue Chests Town Level Screen

Unfortunately, you don't get the ability to open blue chests for quite a while, so they will remain unopened for some time. The means of opening these chests is linked directly to the Rekindling the Flame questline that requires you to rebuild the entirety of Wishvale.

As you complete this quest, you will locate many of the residents who once lived in Wishvale and return them to the town they called home. It is not until you reach town level 6 that you will have the ability to unlock the power that lets you open blue chests.

Progress through the Rekindling the Flame quest until you have reached its end. It ends after you have built the church and held the Azure Flame Ceremony.

Octopath Traveler 0 Blue Chests Church Upgrade

After this, your town will finally reach level 6. When this happens, you will have the ability to upgrade the church. Upgrade the church to the highest level using your Radiant Cornerstones.

If you lack the number of Radiant Cornerstones required to upgrade the church, you will need to collect them by defeating high-level enemies around the map.

Once you have upgraded the church to its highest level, you will have the ability to open blue chests around the map.

There are a decent number of blue chests you can find throughout the different areas of Octopath Traveler 0. So far, we have located 18 of these blue chests, but there could be more that we have overlooked.

Serpent's Burrow	South of the entrance.
Snowshard Grotto	On the left edge of the map.
Shepherd's Rock	In the home in the southwest corner of the southern part of the town.
Sunshade	On the balcony overlooking the stage in the tavern/theater.
Cragspear	Inside the church.
Sufrataljah	Inside the church.
Clearbrook	In front of the house next to the entrance to the town.
Flamesgrace Cathedral	In the room on the far right side of the cathedral.
Sufrataljah Sands	In the northeast corner of the map.

As with any chest, these have items that will help you on your journey, such as weapons, armor, skills, and more. Be sure to open them whenever you see one during your adventure.
