Call Of Duty Movie Gets A 2028 Release Date

The Call of Duty movie officially has a release date: It arrives in theaters on June 30, 2028, it was announced today.

No further details on the movie have been shared as of yet, but the project has been in the works for some time. It was previously announced to be getting a script from Taylor Sheridan (best known for Yellowstone), while Peter Berg (Lone Survivor, Battleship, Deepwater Horizon) will direct. The movie is being produced by Paramount.

The notion of a Call of Duty movie goes back many years. Xbox boss Matt Booty explained late last year why it was finally happening, explaining that Call of Duty execs "felt like they found a partner who understands the game, people who play the game, and shared a vision of what it could be to bring that forward."
