Capcom is continuing its enthusiastic support for the Switch 2 with two further ports: Onimusha: Way of the Sword, which will be released alongside other versions of the game on Sep. 25; and 2024 role-playing game Dragon's Dogma 2, which comes in a new expanded version, subtitled Dark Arisen.

Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen will be released on Oct. 9. The expanded version of the game includes a new region to explore, Norgan, which seems to be a snowy Nordic realm. There's also a new loot system: spoils. Once found on your adventure, spoils can be brought back and appraised to receive new weapons, armor, and even skills.

Capcom has yet to confirm if Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen will be available on other platforms, or as an expansion for the original version of the game. Presumably it will.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword seems much the same as the other versions of the game, although the Switch 2 edition will allow players to use Joy-Con 2 motion-control gestures to control their sword strikes.

Capcom will also release a Switch 2 version of 2019's Devil May Cry 5 very soon, on June 23. Devil May Cry 5: Devil Hunter Edition has some minor additional content, and Nintendo boasted that it runs at 60 frames per second in both handheld and TV mode.

Capcom seems committed to supporting the Switch 2 with almost all its major releases. This year, Resident Evil Requiem and Pragmata both got decent Switch 2 versions on the same day as PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X. At Summer Game Fest on Friday, Capcom announced that it would bring Resident Evil: Veronica to the Switch 2 as well as PlayStation, Xbox, and PC in 2027.
