Capcom has quite a number of IPs now, with Resident Evil, Mega Man, and Monster Hunter being some of the most popular of them. With that being said, the team has another great IP in Pragmata. This is mostly thanks to Diana, but we digress.
10 Horror Games with No Enemies
Want to play a horror game without dealing with any enemies? We've got some recommendations for you.
Developers love to hide references to other titles in their games, and Pragmata is no different. The team his multiple references to other Capcom properties throughout the journey, and while some are obvious, others are quite well hidden.
Let's track down each of the Capcom easter eggs in Pragmata, and if you are feeling up for it, you can track them down yourself.
7 Hugh as Mega Man
On Cabin's Face
Via TheGamerAt the time of its reveal, there were many who drew a connection between Pragmata and the hit series Mega Man. Many believed that the game was actually a new Mega Man title and not a new IP from Capcom.
With that being said, the game is obviously a new IP, but the developers decided to throw in an easter egg for the beloved hero, and it involves Cabin. Occasionally, you can see an 8-bit version of Hugh appear on Cabin's face in the shelter.
This 8-bit variation of the game's main character looks a lot like Mega Man, has the same animations, and even the same sounds. It's a nice nod to what many thought the game was going to be.
6 A Wesker Production
Look at the Billboards
If you have played the Resident Evil series, you probably know that Albert Wesker was one of the primary villains in the games. He appeared in the original title, had a supporting role in various other games, and was the primary antagonist in Resident Evil 5.
The second area of Pragmata is called the Mass Production Array, and it looks a lot like New York City. As soon as you enter the city, you will see many billboards, but if you look to the left, one will stick out.
There is a sign for hidden gems on Earth that you won't want to miss. What makes the billboard more interesting is that it is "a Wesker Production."
5 Resident Devil
Very On the Nose
There is a second nod to the Resident Evil series in the Mass Production Array. As you are making your way through the shopping district, you will end up entering a café area.
Here, you can see a poster on the wall that looks surprisingly familiar. The poster is for Resident Devil 3, but it looks surprisingly like the Resident Evil 3 poster, making it an obvious nod to the third game in the series.
The easter egg is sure to make you think of the game's primary antagonist, Nemesis, and how he hunts you down constantly. Thankfully, that isn't a trend that Capcom kept in Pragmata.
4 Ghouls 'N Ghosts
No Goblins
Did you know that Capcom has a game called Ghosts 'n Goblins? Neither did we until we did a little research into this next easter egg. Again, this one is in the Mass Production Array.
As you make your way down this finely crafted pseudo New York City, you can find a poster for a television series, or perhaps movie, of Ghouls 'n Ghosts. This is a callback to the Ghosts 'n Goblins series.
In addition to this, one game from the series is actually called Ghouls n' Ghosts. It was a game that was on many platforms back in the day, including PlayStation 2, arcade cabinets, and many more.
3 Umbrella Corps
In Plain Site
Umbrella is a very sneaky company. It orchestrated many bioterrorism events, and handles bioweapons for many organizations around the world. With it being the focus of nearly every Resident Evil game, it is hard to miss the Umbrella symbol when it pops up.
Throughout Pragmata, you can collect REMs to give to Diana, but one of these has a hidden secret. When you collect the beach umbrella REM, you will see that this seemingly innocent beach item is actually the symbol of the Umbrella Corps.
The red and white stripes of the umbrella are unmistakable. Thankfully, it doesn't seem like Umbrella had anything to do with the events that transpired on the moon. It was just a different corporation.
2 Hunting Monsters
In a Game
Similar to the Resident Evil series, you will discover various files and emails throughout Pragmata that give additional information on what was happening on Cradle before the events of the game.
These emails give you a look into the lives of the various people living on Cradle before everything went south. One of the emails you can find in the Lunum Mines talks about an incident in the cafeteria, and about how security might start checking everyone's devices.
It ends saying, "Better delete the game we snuck in before it blows up in our faces. Goodbye glorious record of monster hunters..." It's a nice nod to another one of Capcom's most famous games, Monster Hunter. It's interesting that it is a game in Pragmata as well.
1 Referencing Itself
It's Real
Pragmata was first revealed back in 2022. At the time, it was believed the game was going to be released in 2023. When the game was announced, the team used a slip of paper to show the date.
This same paper was later used to show that the date was changed. At that point, Pragmata entered what is known as "development hell," and nobody knew what was going on with it. Many even believed that game was canceled.
Thankfully, it wasn't canceled, as the team ended up completing the title. They then used the same paper to showcase the final release date. Now, you can find an easter egg commemorating the development cycle, and it says, "It's Real, 2026."
