Chainsaw Man The Movie: Reze Arc is finally hitting Crunchyroll this spring after its successful box office run and subsequent digital release last year. Although Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle dominated conversations about anime in 2025, thanks to its strong box office performance, Chainsaw Man The Movie: Reze Arc was arguably the people's choice for anime movie of the year. It was the highest-rated film on Letterboxd last year, and a video of its female lead Reze dancing to the film's theme song "Iris Out" is among the most-liked videos on X/Twitter history. It didn't match Infinity Castle's substantial box office numbers, it still earned over $160 million worldwide.

Directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara and produced by MAPPA, the film is a direct continuation of Chainsaw Man’s first season. "Amid a brutal war between devils and hunters, another battle starts in Denji’s heart when he meets a mysterious girl named Reze," Crunchyroll says in an official synopsis. "Facing secret enemies and fighting for his humanity, Denji revs up for his deadliest battle yet."

Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc also serves as a solid entry point for newcomers to the franchise. Despite its emphasis on comedy, chaos, and action, the film has a lot of heart, conveyed in no small part by its naive and love-starved protagonist. A second season is already in production, confirmed by a trailer released late last year.

The movie's English voice cast features Ryan Colt Levy as Denji, Alexis Tipton as Reze, Suzie Yeung as Makima, Sarah Wiedenheft as Power, Reagan Murdock as Aki, Lindsay Seidel as Pochita, and Derick Snow as Beam. The Japanese voice cast includes Kikunosuke Toya as Denji, Reina Ueda as Reze, Tomori Kusunoki as Makima, Fairouz Ai as Power, Shôgo Sakata as Aki, Shiori Izawa as Pochita, and Natsuki Hanae as Beam

Chainsaw Man The Movie: Reze Arc is coming to Crunchyroll in spring 2026.
