Covering the video games industry since 2017, with experience in news, articles, lists, and reviews (and I blame The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask for that).

If you are a fan of RPGs and want a third-person version: Tayná Garcia is a Brazilian journalist (but you can call her Tay) who ended up working with video games after finishing Zelda: Majora's Mask when she was a kid. With more than eight years of experience in the segment, she has been an assistant editor at Jovem Nerd in the past and is currently a contributor at DualShockers and a writer for gaming magazines for Editora Europa. Oh, and she may like Hideo Kojima a bit too much.

SiN señor! – or “yes, sir,” if you prefer. Either way, we have some good news to start the week, as 2026 is officially bringing us the long-awaited remaster of SiN, the classic shooter from Ritual Entertainment that stole everyone’s hearts in 1998.

Here are 10 FPS games currently slated to launch in 2026 that players should keep an eye out for.

SiN: Reloaded was first announced back in 2020 by the iconic Nightdive Studios, known for System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster and The Thing: Remastered, but we haven't heard much since then. And this lack of updates was starting to make players anxious, leading many to fear the project had been quietly shelved.

SiN: Reloaded is Officially Alive and Well

Fortunately, we now have confirmation not only that SiN: Reloaded is alive and in full development, but also a brand-new trailer confirming it will arrive on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S later this year. You can check it out right below:

This is truly a massive win for fans of old-school first-person shooters. If you were in a silent wait for signs of life from SiN: Reloaded like I was, you will be happy to know that the remaster already has an official Steam page where you can finally add it to your wishlist and keep it close to your heart!

2026 is officially bringing us the long-awaited remaster of SiN, the classic shooter from Ritual Entertainment that stole everyone’s hearts in 1998.

At the time of its original release, SiN turned everyone’s heads with its impressive use of the Quake II engine, boasting excellent graphics and levels packed with interactive elements. Its story casts you as security consultant Colonel John R. Blade, who must hunt down the villainous Dr. Elexis Sinclaire – a scientist who has engineered a drug that alters human DNA to create an army of genetically modified (and, of course, evil) mutants.

According to the Steam listing, SiN: Reloaded is packed with modern enhancements while staying true to its roots. This package includes both the original SiN and the Wages of SiN expansion pack, all optimized with a complete visual overhaul that offers some features that every old-school shooter fan deserves: HD textures and models, 4K resolution, anti-aliasing, a newly mixed soundtrack, and even revamped 2D menu art.

Beyond the graphics, the remaster also aims to introduce modernized interface and control schemes, alongside improved maps throughout the game. For the purists, there is the ability to toggle between the original and remastered visuals (including the SiN Gold version). This is exactly the kind of care we have come to expect from Nightdive Studios, a team known for rescuing classic titles and giving them the treatment they deserve, making these experiences accessible so they can reach an even wider audience.

Now, we just have to wait for the triumphant return of Blade himself to save us all a seat in Hell and take on the adrenaline-fueled journey of SiN once again.
