As you head deeper and deeper into the inky depths of Subnautica 2, not only will you find all sorts of incomprehensible horrors, but you will begin to discover the ingredients holding this world together. It is, of course, up to you to learn how to harness these ingredients and turn this hostile world into your own veritable playground.
The Conduit Crystal is one of these materials that you may happen across by accident. It is, however, one of the most important ingredients in the construction of several high-level recipes that will allow you to go further and deeper down than ever before.
Subnautica 2: Where to Find Lithium
Beware the snapping jaws! You're next on the menu.
If you’re staring at your Modification Station and have no clue where to go to find these curious crystals, then look no further.
Conduit Crystal Locations
There are actually quite a few places to gather these materials, although some are easier to find than others.
The easiest one, which you’ll be able to find around halfway into your early-access playthrough, is around the base of the gigantic turbine, the arch-like structure found east of the Tadpole Pens, near the Alien Ruins.
If you search around the upper walls that surround the Angel Comb, you’ll find a few spawns of the Conduit Crystal. You can blast these with your Sonic or Feedback Resonator to gather a couple for yourself. Make sure you gather a decent number, as you’ll need quite a few of these a little later on!
Make sure you have a good-sized Air Tank, and a Dive Elevator to make the trip down into the depths a bit easier. There is an Axum control station nearby where you can refill your oxygen.
You can also find a few scarce sources of Conduit Crystal at the bottom of the seafloor, northeast of the Tadpole Pens, and southwest of the Yellow Chemical Waste area in the furthest reaches of the map.
How to Use Conduit Crystals
Once you’ve gathered a few of these crystals, you’re going to want to head back to your base. These ingredients can be used both at the Modification Station and with the main Fabricator.
The main use of these crystals is going to be for the Bioscanner and Feedback Resonator, which are upgrades to your regular Scanner and Sonic Resonator. The Bioscanner will allow you to scan Alien tech and create new Blueprints, while the Feedback Resonator will allow you to destroy those little Bloom nodes that like to close up when you get too near.
In addition, you can also use the Conduit Crystals for other high-level recipes like the Advanced Battery and the Entangled Power Cell. These are upgraded versions of the energy cells that will last longer!
Finally, if you want improved fins to help you swim faster, these Crystals will help with that, too. These ingredients are all about upgrading what you already have. Luckily, they’re super easy to find and gather, so stock up while you can!
