Crimson Desert: Chaos Forest Puzzle Guide

The puzzles in Crimson Desert can be a bit tricky, especially since the game refuses to hold your hand. Chaos Forest is one of the more confusing puzzles found in the Abyss, as there's an easily-missed hidden secret to actually getting the power back on.

Once you understand what to do for the Chaos Forest puzzle, completing this area shouldn't take longer than five minutes. In other words, the solution is right under your nose, you just need to know where to look.

In this guide, we will walk you through how to solve this puzzle so you can earn the Abyss Artifact. Here's how to solve the Chaos Forest puzzle in Crimson Desert.

Chaos Forest Location

The Chaos Forest is a puzzle found in the Abyss, the sky region of Crimson Desert. To reach the Chaos Forest, players need to complete the Spire of Insight puzzle and reach the top.

At the top of the Spire of Insight, you will encounter a portal that you can interact with. Traversing this portal will teleport you directly to the Chaos Forest in Crimson Desert.

Chaos Forest Puzzle Solution

When you first reach the Chaos Forest in Crimson Desert, you will encounter a large door that can be opened with Nature's Grasp.

On the other side of the door, you will find a ton of thick vines throughout the platform. Go ahead and use your Blinding Flash ability on these vines to draw power from the sun and burn them away.

Next, use your Axiom Force ability to grab the battery cell on the floating platform to the north. This battery cell is on fire, so in order to actually use it, you need to extinguish the fire. To extinguish the fire from the battery cell, dip it into the nearby pool of water.

Doing this will activate the battery cell, allowing you to place it in the nearby slot. Remember you can punch the battery cell into the slot by using Force Palm.

Next, you want to fly across the opening and aim for the location shown in the image below, represented by the red arrow.

When you reach the other side, take the first left to find another series of vines. Just like before, use your Blinding Flash ability to burn away the vines, revealing a hidden door.

Approach the door and use Nature's Grasp to open it, revealing a room with a floating battery cell. Grab the floating battery cell with Axiom Force and place it into the slot on the left wall using Force Palm.

Last, but not least, you want to pick up the Abyss Fragment on the ground (in the same room as the battery cell) and carry it over to the door that you previously used Nature's Grasp on.

Next, use Nature's Grasp to open the door and then place the Abyss Fragment underneath it, preventing the door from fully closing.

Doing this actually turns on the center cog for Chaos Forest puzzle as it allows the electrical circuits to line up perfectly. Now all you have to do is climb to the center of the cog and use Force Palm on it to solve the Chaos Forest puzzle in Crimson Desert.

After completing the Chaos Forest puzzle, you will earn an Abyss Artifact just like all the other Abyss puzzles in the game. Abyss Artifacts are very useful as you can use them to increase your characters' stats, use them for upgrading weapons, and even unlock new skills in the skill tree.
