Christian has over three years of experience writing in the gaming industry, including guides and reviews, for publications such as DualShockers, Attack of the Fanboy, and PC Invasion. He has been an avid gamer since he was a kid, viewing it as the best possible art form and medium. Some of his favorite genres include Survival Horror, Soulslikes, and RPGs, but he finds joy in almost any type of game.

As you explore the vast world of Crimson Desert, you will encounter many puzzles that will challenge your critical thinking skills. Puzzles come in many different forms, such as Abyss Cressets, ruins, and even Strongboxes, which are locked chests within manors.

One of the earlier Strongboxes you will find on your journey is the one located in Hillside Manor. This Strongbox tasks the player with aligning a picture of a mountain perfectly by rotating a series of dials. However, this is not as easy as it sounds.

Hillside Manor Strongbox Puzzle Location

Hillside Manor Strongbox Location Crimson Desert

The Hillside Manor Strongbox can be found on the second floor of the Hillside Manor in the northeastern section of Hernand city. The image attached shows the exact location of the Hillside Manor in Crimson Desert.

When you approach Hillside Manor, you'll instantly notice that the guards are hostile and won't let you in without a fight. I recommend avoiding the fight altogether by climbing through one of the windows on the backside of the manor, allowing you to get inside undetected.

Hillside Manor Strongbox Rewards

Hillside Manor Strongbox Rewards

The reward for completing the Hillside Manor Strongbox in Crimson Desert is the Saint's Necklace. This accessory is equippable and offers a base stat of five defense and grants your character the ability to restore stamina without eating any food. It's a necklace that comes in handy when fighting against hordes of enemies or challenging bosses.

Keep in mind that even though completing the Hillside Manor Strongbox will reveal the Saint's Necklace inside, you still need to wear a mask in order to pick it up. Remember, in order to steal any items in Crimson Desert, you need to be wearing a mask.

I recommend going to the nearest Blacksmith and upgrade the Saint's Necklace to increase its base defense, making it even more exceptional for combat.
