Christian has over three years of experience writing in the gaming industry, including guides and reviews, for publications such as DualShockers, Attack of the Fanboy, and PC Invasion. He has been an avid gamer since he was a kid, viewing it as the best possible art form and medium. Some of his favorite genres include Survival Horror, Soulslikes, and RPGs, but he finds joy in almost any type of game.
One of the greatest features of Crimson Desert is the ability to have a pet, a trusty companion who follows you on your adventures through Pywell. Players can have up to 30 pets, consisting of both cats and dogs, but can only have one summoned at a time.
The best part about having a pet is the fact that you can give it its own style through pet armor, which includes fancy hats, cool helmets, and even a bow and arrow to make them look like an archer. In other words, Kliff isn't the only one that can have some serious swag.

How to Get Pet Armor in Crimson Desert
There are two shops where players can purchase pet armor in Crimson Desert. The first shop is located on the northeastern side of Pororin village, and it's represented by a paw print icon on the map. The image below shows where you can find this pet shop.
Keep in mind that players won't be able to enter Pororin Village until they complete the "Unreachable Village" quest. Attempting to enter the forest near the village before completing this quest will result in your character getting shot with a sleep dart and kicked out of the area.
Players can also purchase pet armor from the pet armor shop in the southwestern part of Demeniss City, which becomes available during Chapter 8 of the main quest. The location of said pet shop can be found in the image below.
As you interact with these two merchants, purchase goods from them, or gift them items, the trust between the two of you will increase. As you increase trust with pet shop merchants, more pet armor will unlock for purchase.
It's important to note that the pet armor shops don't appear until you tame your first pet. To tame a pet, you need to raise your trust level with it to 100, allowing you to officially claim it as yours. In order to raise trust with a pet, you can feed it by placing food on the ground or by petting it.

When you attempt to tame a pet, the game won't allow you to raise trust to 100 in a single day. Instead, you will need to revisit the pet periodically as the days go on in order to reach the trust level required to tame it. I recommend sleeping in a bed to make time go by faster if you're in a rush.
How to Equip Pet Armor
Now that you know how to get pet armor in Crimson Desert, it's time to equip it to your trusty companion. In order to equip armor for your pet, follow the steps below.
- Go to the Inventory tab.
- Navigate over to the Pets tab.
- Switch to the pet you want to change armor for.
- Summon that pet.
- Go into your inventory and select the pet armor to equip it.
Since you actually need to keep pet armor in your inventory in order for your pet to have it equipped at all times, I recommend placing all pet armor that you currently are not using in the storage chest at camp. Doing this will reduce the amount of slots you take up.
