Collect Blood Orbs from chests, bosses, and hidden loot to unlock deadly katanas and specialized gear tied to the world mutation you’re fighting through. Earn Blood Orbs in battle to upgrade your equipped weapons and gear, evolving your abilities and carving out your own ruthless playstyle. Face a brutal roster of evolving bosses — each mutating into stronger, more vicious forms mid-fight. There is still progression in terms of weapon variety. Weapons are unlocked and upgraded simply by playing Cursed Blood. There are four game modes, each with its own difficulty tiers. Each difficulty tier adds new modifiers, such as more enemies and faster enemies.

Most of the time, it only takes one or two full runs on a given difficulty to unlock or upgrade a weapon. The replayability is definitely there. In terms of content quality, you’ll find that Cursed Blood is very high quality. This pacing is also reflected in the combat. Rather than overwhelming you with hordes of enemies and relying on button-mashing, the game throws fewer enemies at you at once while encouraging more tactical thinking.
