The Cyberpunk TCG became the biggest TCG in Kickstarter history in under twenty-four hours, bringing in over eight million dollars and counting.

While most people are familiar with Cyberpunk through the Cyberpunk 2077 video game or the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners TV show, the universe actually originated as a tabletop RPG, with decades of lore that predate the most popular incarnations of the franchise.

The Cyberpunk TCG Kickstarter campaign is supposed to run for a month, but it has already raised over $8,150,000 USD in pledges from over 9,000 contributors. This means that the Cyberpunk TCG is Kickstarter's most funded TCG of all time, and it's still going strong.

So, what do people actually get for their pledges? The reason it's pulling in so much cash is that the minimum buy-in for physical products is $49 for the Starter Decks, going all the way up to $7999 USD for sets with over a hundred backers each.

There's clearly a ton of excitement for the Cyberpunk TCG, even though it's not even out yet. Players can try it out for free right now, as there's a printable Alpha Kit decks available on the Kickstarter page, for people who want to experience the game.

There was a time when the Cyberpunk franchise seemed like it was dead on arrival, thanks to the shoddy launch of Cyberpunk 2077. The series has clawed its way back into the limelight, and if the TCG is anything to go by, it could grow even more mainstream than before.
