Daredevil season 2 trailer teases Jessica Jones and Matthew Lillard

Krysten Ritter's beloved character makes her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Marvel has released a new trailer for Daredevil: Born Again season 2 revealing our first look so far at both Jessica Jones (Kysten Ritter) in the MCU and a mysterious new character played by Scream star Matthew Lillard.

The trailer starts off with Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) reminiscing about a dance he shared with close friend and sometimes-romantic-interest Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) before the moment is shattered by scenes of violence. Then, 37 seconds in, Jessica Jones appears, teasing Murdock, who is sitting in what looks to be pew inside a church,

"I hope you can walk, because I'm not carrying you," Jones tells Murdock. She can later be seen beating up a heavily armored police officer with what appears to be a large metal door.

The trailer also provides the first glimpse of Matthew Lillard as Mr. Charles, a mysterious new character who seems to have some sort of relationship with series antagonist Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrino), though it's unclear how the two are related. Per Lillard, Mr. Charles is "someone completely new to Hell's Kitchen" and a role he did "not wear any lycra of any kind" for. So no superhero suits for Shaggy this time.
