Sony has revealed the official PlayStation 5 Marathon DualSense, paving the way for ARC Raiders to follow suit with a better controller.
Most, if not all, multiplayer games with PvP will experience players using cheats or abusing in-game exploits to get an unfair advantage over their competition, and ARC Raiders is no exception.
Luckily, Embark has been quick on the draw and just released patch 1.12.0 to deploy multiple exploit fixes that have been highly requested by the community.
Embark Closes the Door to Stella Montis Out-of-Bounds Locations
Stella Montis, the newest map in ARC Raiders, is a stronghold buried deep within the mountains that more often than not is ripe with hostile raiders and loads of PvP, and getting out alive is no easy task—especially when there are cheaters present.
It's been at least several weeks since Raiders first discovered an exploit in Stella Montis that allowed them to glitch through the roof, giving them a clear shot at any player unlucky enough to walk through that area.
Players also recently discovered they could duplicate throwables by disconnecting their Wi-Fi at the exact moment they throw the item.
Here is the full list of fixes introduced in ARC Raiders Patch 1.12.0:
- Item duplication exploit.
- Ammo duplication exploit.
- Cases where players were able to damage others from behind geometry.
- Out of bounds map locations on Stella Montis.
If there's an exploit, gamers will find it. There are likely many more exploits waiting to be found in ARC Raiders, but at the rate at which Embark is responding to community feedback and applying patches, they won't last long.
They could duplicate throwables by disconnecting their Wi-Fi at the exact moment they throw the item.
One of the first exploits to be found in ARC Raiders was the infamous door glitch, where players could force themselves into locked rooms full of high-value loot, but Embark cheekily responded by installing traps that burn intruders alive when they enter without a key.
