This is another example of a quality mod that could easily pass for a full game. According to the plot, this is rather not a continuation of HL2, but its spin-off.

Pleasantly surprised it’s a free mod, really well-done story and it’s tied together nicely with canon lore from hl2. Haven’t found any bugs on my run, and this thing can run on a potato-like HL2 did.

Gameplay wise, they added the use of the mines to breach rooms, gave some rebels gravity gun jetpacks as well as friendly turrets and hacksaws, as well as added stuff like the temporal displacement fields or Xen grenades had a lot of fun with it. It’s as close as we are gonna get to know what hell was the matter with Borealis around HL2: EP2.
