Escape from Tarkov creator, Nikita Buyanov, has been leaving a breadcrumb trail of clues and puzzles about a new game being developed, and today, we finally get a closer look.

Earlier today, a reveal trailer was posted for a sci-fi FPS that could potentially be called COR3, set in a stunning post-apocalyptic world, but we can't say for sure if the studio behind Tarkov, BattleState Games, has any involvement with this project.

Tarkov Game Director Reveals Sci-Fi FPS

Leading up to today's reveal trailer, a countdown website had been discovered, as well as a second website where gamers could play a mini-game to learn more about COR3.

In the mini-game, fans can log in to a mysterious computer known as a Corporate Interspace Environment Terminal, which is used for work-related communications, financial transactions, socializing, and news.

According to the lore, COR3 takes place in the year 2251, where humanity is fighting for survival on the brink of extinction. "200 years ago, humanity was able to stand at the brink of darkness, survive and reverse mutual total destruction. The organization that secretly proclaimed itself as the Core was able to gather the remnants of everything human and turn back the tide of destruction, by convincing and uniting the governments of the world."

There's not a ton of information about this game yet, but at least now we get to see what the universe looks like—and does it ever look amazing. Will it follow in Tarkov's footsteps and become the next big extraction shooter? We can't say for sure at this time, but it's definitely a possibility.

Another clue is the title of the trailer posted today, "PRJRPNT_BLUEMARS_FO". Based on the title of the video, the lore, and the appearance of the planet, it appears Buyanov's upcoming game will take place on a futuristic, dystopian, terraformed version of Mars.
