Being an action RPG, The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales has multiple weapon types that you will pick up to aid you on your journey. Each of the weapons you obtain plays a key role in the gameplay, granting you special abilities.

Chaos, strategy, and endless clicks. Learn, adapt, dominate—or crumble spectacularly

While you are occasionally forced to use specific weapons, you mostly have the freedom to pick whatever you want to fight with, whether it be a hammer, sickle, or sword. However, not all of these weapons are created equal. Some of them are much better at handling the hordes of enemies than others, and so we should see how they stack up when compared to one another.

7 Sword

Basic

The Adventures of Elliot Weapons Sword

The first of the weapon types that you get your hands on is also the worst in the game. The weapon type in question is the sword. While it isn't bad, it is far too basic of a weapon to be considered better than the rest.

When using a sword, you perform a basic slash. This can be held to unleash a more powerful slash that also creates a wave a energy that can hit enemies from afar. It is useful for when you need to deal with a foe at a distance, but it doesn't come in to play very often.

Overall, the weapon could be a bit better. It would be nice for it to have a combo attack or perhaps even a spin attack similar to that in Legend of Zelda games.

6 Spear

Stabby

The Adventures of Elliot Weapons Spear

The spear has that same basic attack style of the sword, but it has a bit more range, allowing you to stay a bit further away from enemies as you attack. However, that isn't the only thing that makes the spear better than the sword.

The special attack allows you to rush forward, piercing enemies and pushing them back slightly. This is great for crowds of enemies, as it lets you push them together, damaging them multiple times if you fully charge up the special attack.

Again, the spear is a slower weapon, making it a less viable option than most of the other weapon types in the game, and the constant stab attack you perform in the front doesn't do anything when enemies are around you.

5 Bombs

Explosive

The Adventures of Elliot Weapons Bombs

Bombs are your ticket past many broken walls and barriers in The Adventures of Elliot, but they are also quite useful in combat, especially for crowd control. Much like in other adventure games like this, you can place bombs and wait for them to explode, or you can throw them.

While holding a bomb, you can wait for it to get close to exploding, and then throw it out at a group of enemies, taking them all down at once thanks to the bomb's high damage. Most enemies will go down with a single bomb, making them very useful when dealing with multiple foes at once.

The main downside to bombs is that you can get damaged by them, but there is Magicite that can help mitigate the damage. I am a big fan of using the Magicites that mitigates damage and increases explosion size.

4 Hammer

Knockback

The Adventures of Elliot Weapons Hammer

There's always a weapon that you swing much slower, but it makes up for that slow speed by hitting enemies with the force of a truck. In The Adventures of Elliot, that weapon is the hammer.

One of the main uses of the hammer is to knock down the pegs that block your path in some areas, but it is very useful in combat, especially with the right Magicite. This weapon has a larger swing radius, allowing you to hit enemies in a wider arc than with the spear or the sword.

Enemies hit by the hammer will also be sent flying thanks to its amazing knockback. Some of the best Magicite for this weapon allow you to damage enemies hit into walls with the knockback, and allow you to generate explosions when killing enemies.

You can't cure your FOMO easy if you weren't there for these games.

3 Boomerang

Come Back to Me

The Adventures of Elliot Weapons Boomerang

The boomerang is one of the best choices when it comes to both close and ranged combat. This may sound odd since boomerangs are meant to be thrown, but in The Adventures of Elliot, boomerangs can go through enemies, hitting multiple in a line, and then can hit the enemies again on the way back.

To maximize the capabilities of the boomerang, you want to add the Biggun, Satellite, and Attack Up Magicites. These will increase the size of the boomerang, allow it to orbit you when you use a special attack, and increase its attack.

The combination of these Magicite will give you a weapon that you will want to come back to again and again, as you will be knocking enemies around left and right. Additionally, this is a great weapon for bosses since the special attack hits multiple times.

2 Bow

Triple Arrow

The Adventures of Elliot Weapons Bow

The bow is my go-to secondary weapon in The Adventures of Elliot because it is the best weapon for ranged coverage. It has a solid range, can fire fairly fast, and is capable of shooting three arrows at once with its special attack.

My go-to setup with the bow when it comes to Magicite is to use Fire Shot, Explosives, and Attack Up. Fire Shot gives a chance to catch enemies on fire when hit with a normal arrow. The highest rarity variant of this Magicite guarantees that enemies hit with arrows will catch on fire.

Combine this with the Explosives Magicite, and any burning enemy hit with an arrow will explode. It is a powerful combination that makes the bow nearly unbeatable. Add the Attack Up Magicite for more attack power, and you are an unstoppable force.

1 Chain and Sickle

Swing it Around

The Adventures of Elliot Weapons chain and sickle

I find the best weapon in The Adventures of Elliot to be the chain and sickle. It is an all-around weapon that is great for close, mid, and ranged combat. First, the standard attack of this weapon is great for mid-range combat, as it swings with a wide arc, but the true power of this weapon is unlocked with its special attack.

The special attack of this weapon allows you to constantly swing it around in a 360-degree arc around you, protecting you from enemies that get too close. Finally, when you let go of the special attack, it ends with you launching the chain out and pulling in the enemy hit by it.

This weapon becomes near unstoppable when you equip the Fire Dance, Binding Chain, and Attack Up Magicite to it. The Fire Dance Magicite makes it so that fireballs bounce around you when holding the special attack of the weapon, burning enemies in the process.

The Binding Chain Magicite makes it so that the special attack of the chain and sickle can stun enemies. It has an 80% chance of causing the effect, will keep enemies away guaranteed, and the Attack Up Magicite will increase your damage.
