Forza Horizon 6′s Xbox Controller Is A Hideous Neon Mess And I Love It

Some official video game-themed controllers look amazing. Some look ugly and boring. And then, every once in a while, you get something so garish and neon, like Xbox’s newly revealed Forza Horizon 6 gamepad, that it’s almost hard to look at it. And you know what? I want this damn Forza controller so bad.

On April 20, Xbox revealed a new Forza Horizon 6-themed controller and wireless headset. The controller is translucent blue and covered in neon pink and yellow shapes and lines, as if my windbreaker from the ’90s got sick and puked all over it. The headset is a bit less garish, but still features a lot of neon shapes and letters. It almost looks like something I’d find in Marathon as I was looting for some rods or whatever.

Both the controller and headset are available for pre-order now. The controller costs $90, and the headset costs $135. They’ll be released on May 18.  Meanwhile, Forza Horizon 6 arrives on Xbox and PC on May 19. Here’s our preview of the game, which moves the franchise to Japan.

Some Zack lore for you: I always wanted the Forza Horizon 5 Xbox controller. It was a translucent yellow with splashes of different neon colors all over it. The thing looked equally amazing and horrific. I never got my hands on it for various reasons. But this time around, I’m not going to miss out. I’m going to buy this Forza Horizon 6 controller and place it next to my amazing Marathon PS5 controller and be happy that I’m an adult who is in a place in my life where I can afford such neon nonsense. That’s the American Dream, baby.
