If you ever wished Grand Theft Auto was set in medieval times and not modern times, the newest free game on the Epic Games Store is for you. Epic Games Store users can claim Rustler for free for a limited time.

Rustler — aka Rustler (Grand Theft Horse) — is an open-world action game where anything goes. It boasts a "historically inaccurate" medieval European setting where you play as The Guy. What guy? The Guy. You're free to do what you want, whether that's following Rustler's quests or getting up to mischief, like stealing horses to then park in a no-horse zone, or murdering stupid knights Monty Python-style. Like the best GTA games, Rustler offers a sandbox for you to live out your crime-filled fantasies. Except this time, instead of a radio, you'll have a bard following you around playing music, and you'll switch songs by punching him in the kisser.

If you want to pick up Rustler for free, all you need to do is log in to the Epic Games Store and claim it. Rustler will be free until Thursday, Jan. 29 at 11 a.m. EST.

Next week's Epic Games Store free game is Definitely Not Fried Chicken, a game that lets you live out your Los Pollos Hermanos fantasies as you run a legitimate chicken restaurant (or some other above-board business) while also managing your real source of profit.
