Gears of War: E-Day, Halo: Campaign Evolved, and Fable's Collector's Edition Explained

Just a few days after the eventful Summer Games Fest, Microsoft held its Xbox Games Showcase 2026 and showed off several brand-new games releasing soon, as well as revealing more gameplay and story details for previously announced first-party titles.

Some highlights for the showcase focused on Gears of War: E-Day, Halo: Campaign Evolved, and Playground Games' Fable, which all had their release dates revealed with CE launching on July 28th next month, E-Day launching on October 6th later this year, and Fable launching on February 23rd, 2027.

On top of the new gameplay and cinematic clips displayed during the Showcase for these games, all three titles became available for pre-order soon after the digital event, with each game featuring its own impressive collector's edition that fans will want to pick up for exclusive merchandise and in-game gear.

Gears of War: E-Day's Collector's Edition Explained

It's been roughly six years since the last brand-new Gears of War title launched, and with 2026 being the 20th anniversary of the Gears franchise, The Coalition has gone all-out to entice fans with E-Day's collector's edition.

For a price tag of $299.99, Gears fans can pre-order Gears of War: E-Day's collector's edition, which will include:

• A 15-inch-tall statue of a young Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago fighting an emerging Locust soldier.
• A 1:1 scale replica of Carlos Santiago's, Dominic's older brother, Coalition of Ordered Governments Army COG Tag made of zinc alloy and brass.
• An in-game photo of Marcus, Carlos, and Dominic together.
• A small lithograph of a Locust soldier with an accompanying Thank-You Note from The Coalition.
• A Steelbook case for Gears of War: E-Day, including a physical disc of the game for Xbox customers.
• Display packaging for the Fenix and Santiago statue.
• A 5-Day Early Access code for Gears of War: E-Day starting on October 1st.
• A Bravo Squad Signature Weapon Pack featuring in-game weapon skins based on each member of Bravo Squad.
• 1,000 Iron of Gears of War: E-Day's in-game currency.
• Access to Five Season Customization Packs, with each pack including two character skins, two weapon skin sets, two poses, and one banner, emblem, and icon, such as a skeletal Marcus Fenix skin.

Players who pre-order the game will additionally gain access to the Gears of War: E-Day Open Beta from August 6-10 and immediately unlock the Exfil Dom skin and Exfil weapon skin set.

Halo: Campaign Evolved Collector's Edition Explained

It's been almost five years since the launch of Halo Infinite, and with 2026 being the 25th anniversary of both the Halo franchise and the Xbox brand overall, 343 Industries has striven to entice returning Xbox and PC fans and new PlayStation 5 fans with an exciting collector's edition for Halo: Campaign Evolved.

For a price of $199.99, Halo fans can pre-order Halo: Campaign Evolved's collector's edition, which will include:

• A 12-inch tall statue of Master Chief in his Mark V armor, wielding an MA5B Assault Rifle.
• A replica LED Cortana A.I. Chip with a rechargeable cord.
• Three 11-inch by 17-inch concept art prints depicting the levels The Maw, The Truth and Reconciliation, and The Pillar of Autumn.
• A modernized recreation of Halo: Combat Evolved's 2001 physical game manual.
• A physical Halo: Campaign Evolved disc for Xbox and PlayStation 5 customers.
• A premium edition upgrade voucher code.
• A 5-Day Early Access code for Halo: Campaign Evolved starting on July 23rd.

Gears of War: E-Day's collector's edition didn't note how large the file size for the game will be, but Halo: Campaign Evolved's collector's edition did note that the game will require a minimum of 100 GB of hard drive space, so console players will need to make space on their console or purchase external hard drives soon to play CE.

2027's Fable Collector's Edition Explained

By the time Playground Games' Fable launches in early 2027, it'll be nearly 10 years since the last Fable game, Fable Fortune, debuted, and with this new entry being the British game developer's first venture into the medieval fantasy franchise, Playground has created an intriguing collector's edition to attract fans.

For a price of $199.99, players can pre-order the new Fable's collector's edition, which will include:

• A Jack of Blades statue.
• A Heroes Guild Seal pin.
• A Hardcover Fable Artbook (English only).
• A Digital Fable Artbook.
• Access to Fable's Digital Soundtrack.
• A Steelbook case for Fable, including a physical disc of the game for Xbox and PlayStation 5 customers.
• A Fable Premium Edition Content Pack featuring the Bastard and Splendid cosmetic armor outfits.
• A Fable Pre-Order Content Pack featuring a Chicken Suit outfit, and several in-game gifts including a Wild Flower Bouquet, a Toy Chicken, and a Scones & Jam Picnic Hamper.
• A 5-Day Early Access code for Fable starting on February 18th.
