GI Joe’s Newest Cobra Commander Figure Comes With A Massive Snake Throne

Pop-culture villains come and go, but few have had a lasting impact like Cobra Commander from GI Joe. The would-be world conqueror has never quite managed to realize his ambition of ruling the globe, but Hasbro is releasing a new action figure of the supervillain that looks very regal. Preorders open on June 3 for this new Cobra Commander collectible ahead of its launch date on October 1, and you can grab it for $70.

Rocking his iconic hooded and blue uniform design, Cobra Commander also comes with several accessories to emphasize his destined role as the future ruler of the world. You can equip him with a snake-themed crown, seat him on a throne that features a golden snake motif, and he also has a detachable fabric cape to really drive home his kingly ambition. Other accessories include a golden globe for him to ponder, a royal cobra-themed golden staff, a knife, four alternate hands for striking villainous poses, and his trusty sidearm.

Upcoming GI Joe Classified Preorders

All of these figures will arrive on July 1

No king can rule alone, and you can build your own Cobra army with several upcoming figures as part of the GI Joe Classified line on July 1. Like previous releases, these are all six-inch figures that come with various accessories, like weapons and alternate headsculpts. Some of the standout releases include a modern spin on Overkill, a Hydro-Viper figure for underwater combat, and the new Zanya figure, which comes with a swamp skier vehicle. To build Cobra Commander's army, you can also grab the Techno-Viper action figure, which features a classic design and retro-inspired packaging.
