The Deluxe Edition includes not only the two hardcover books, but also a bifold portfolio containing a pair of lithographs. Both books in this set feature gilded page edges, ribbed spines, slightly different cover art, built-in ribbon bookmarks, and when you're not reading them, you can store them inside a display box that features gold-foil illustrations on the front and back.

Inside the books, you'll find 320 pages of artwork, behind-the-scenes materials, and exclusive interviews with key members of the various development teams that worked on the God of War games. The first book covers the original God of War Trilogy and its numerous spin-offs, while the second volume is focused on the modern era of the franchise that began with 2016's God of War and continued in God of War: Ragnarok.

While the regular edition doesn't come with any of the fancy extras, it's still a handsome coffee table book in its own right. It includes all of the content across two volumes, and they're packaged inside a leatherette-covered slipcase.
