Gray Zone Warfare: Street Spotter Walkthrough

I don't envy Gunny. The old Marine in charge of supplying your private military company, in spite of the disaster in Lamang, keeps getting his job interrupted because of mercenaries with no sense of self-preservation. Luckily, rather than have to go out there by himself, he can pay off suckers to go poking around the island in order to find out what happened to the missing operators.

Street Spotter is an early quest in Gray Zone Warfare that requires you to track down Tyron Williams, a fellow operator and former Marine whom Gunny knew from his days in the Corps.

Williams went missing following a routine surveillance mission in the town near your PMC's base camp. Gunny wants you to check his observation post and report anything you find.

Street Spotter Quest Location

As an early quest, Street Spotter takes place in the starter towns. All three factions in Gray Zone Warfare have separate towns near their main base, but while the locations have different names and geographic orientations, the layout of the streets is the same.

Your point of interest in Street Spotter is located on the main street, running from the gas station on the far edge of town all the way to the city limits on the other end. The coordinates of the point of interest are as follows:

• Kiu Vongsa (Crimson Shield International): 143, 163
• Pha Lang (Lamang Recovery Initiative): 202, 151
• Nam Thaven (Mithras Security Systems): 170, 119

The screenshots below were taken in Kiu Vongsa, but apply to all three areas.

The shortest nearest landing zones are Charlie 2 (CSI), Alpha 1 (LRI), or Bravo 1 (MSS). You can skirt around the villas on the edge of town, past their right side, to avoid walking through a criminal hideout.

Street Spotter Quest Walkthrough

Walking along the main street from the direction of the landing zone, expect to take fire from your left side as you pass the town hall, and the direct front, from a hastily-prepared roadblock. Enemies in the starter towns do not wear body armor, making them ideal targets for hollow-point rounds.

Look for the yellow three-storey building on your left side past the roadblock. Turn left on an alleyway before it, and enter the backyard. All ground-level entrances to the target are blocked, so you'll need to get in through the rear window.

Climb onto the boxes and then onto the tin roof, allowing you to approach the window and vault your way through.

Once inside, turn right and go up the stairs. Once you reach the top, head through the door to your right again.

Go all the way to the last room that faces the street. On the left side window, you will see a laser designator rangefinder point outside, but no sign of Tyron Williams. Approach the designator to report your findings to Gunny and complete the Street Spotter quest.
