If you're waking up every day and frantically refreshing YouTube for the third, long-awaited Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer, take a break. Rockstar Games won't start marketing Grand Theft Auto 6 in full force until the summer, says Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick — and that probably includes the next big trailer for the year's most highly anticipated game.

If Zelnick and Rockstar are going by the official start of summer, that will begin on June 21 — one month from today — with the summer solstice. Summer officially ends on Sept. 22, and we expect that the GTA 6 marketing machine will be running at peak capacity by that time. In other words, hungry GTA fans should probably devote their energy elsewhere until the summer months officially arrive.

GTA 6 price must feel 'very reasonable,' says Take-Two boss

The comments come amid months of speculation that the new Grand Theft Auto could retail for $100

Rockstar Games has released two trailers for GTA 6 so far, the first in December 2023 and the second in May 2025. Amid delays and a yearlong dearth of new information, fans have done their best to divine when Rockstar will reveal GTA 6 trailer 3. One possible milestone was the most recent Take-Two Interactive earnings call, but that didn't come to pass. Instead, during that investor-focused event, Zelnick dismissed rumors about pre-orders going live for GTA 6 any time soon and declined to give concrete details on things like pricing and Grand Theft Auto 6 Online. He did say to anticipate the big marketing push for GTA 6 to arrive during the warmer months, which feels fitting for the game's Florida... er, Leonida setting.

Gaming fans will have plenty to look forward to in the coming weeks and months, however, with a new PlayStation State of Play arriving on June 2; the Geoff Keighley-hosted Summer Game Fest showcase kicking off on June 5; and the Xbox Games Showcase on June 7.

Grand Theft Auto 6 will be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X on Nov. 19. In the meantime, you can rewatch the second GTA 6 trailer to see if there's anything you might've missed in the first hundred viewings.
