Vivienne 'Vivziepop' Medrano reveals season 3's initial release date

In a presentation at the 2026 Annecy International Animation Film Festival, Spindlehorse animation studio founder and executive producer Vivienne Medrano (aka YouTube creator Vivziepop) shared a first look at season 3 of Helluva Boss, the animated adult series that serves as a companion to her hit show Hazbin Hotel.

It's yet another reminder of something the show's fans already know: Helluva Boss is not for kids. The opening clip features the start of a steamy romance-novel-style love scene between hell-born imp Blitzo (in a dramatic blond wig and abs-baring leather micro-vest) and the demon lord Stolas, the star-crossed couple who spent all of seasons 1 and 2 coming to terms with their forbidden relationship. Medrano also revealed the release date for part one of Helluva Boss season 3, which will premiere on Prime Video on Oct. 14 before becoming available on YouTube for free.

Helluva Boss, which originated on YouTube before being picked up by Prime Video, follows the adventures of the Immediate Murder Professionals (I.M.P.), a group of imps who live in Hell, but regularly travel to Earth to assassinate living humans at the behest of the recently dead. Blitzo, I.M.P.'s owner and founder, starts the series as Stolas' reluctant lover, trading sex for access to the Earth portal. But gradually, the two demons realize they love each other. This clip — revealed by the end to be thinly veiled self-insert erotic fanfic that Stolas is writing as he sits at his desk in the I.M.P. office — suggests that in season 3, Stolas is still chafing at losing his lordship to protect Blitzo's life from Hell's hierarchy, and still wants more out of Blitzo than the imp's nature allows.

Medrano promised more teases from season 3 will be coming soon, including a video of the series' voice actors recording a scene that will be so raunchy, she wouldn't be able to put it on YouTube without it being labeled as smut and demonetized. Or is that demon-etized? We'll find out in October.
