One can only imagine the checklist of attributes that was passed around when Kasha was designed for Nioh 3. It takes a special kind of mind to create a cat girl boss in an extremely low-cut robe, who fights with a whip, and rides around on giant wheels, keeping her feet always in view.

Don't let Kasha's ridiculous, fetishistic design fool you: she's one of the trickier bosses in Nioh 3. Those wheels she's riding not only allow her to zoom across the battlefield, but they can deal a ton of damage if they hit you. They also leave flaming trails behind them, meaning it can be hard to chase her for a counter.

Once you've gotten over Kasha's appearance, you can concentrate on defeating her. She's actually a boss who originally appeared in Nioh 2, with the exact same introduction sequence, but this time around, the player has more tools to beat her.

Nioh 3: Kasha's Moves & Attacks

Kasha not only fights with her flaming whip, but her wheels are deadly as well. When you deal enough stamina damage to Kasha, she'll enter the Yokai Realm, causing her flames to turn blue and grow more powerful. Kasha's moveset in Nioh 3 is:

Attack

Description

Response

Fire Whip

Kasha swings her whip in front of her, leaving flames in its wake.

These can be parried or dodged.

Fire Spray

Kasha takes a toke on her pipe, then breathes fire in an arc in front of her body.

The fire has a small AoE, so just dodge backwards.

Kitty Licker

Black and yellow dots appear around Kasha's hand. She spins on her wheels and tries to grab the player. If she grabs the player, she'll lick them, then throw them on the ground and stomp with a flaming wheel.

This is one of the slowest and most well telegraphed throws in Nioh 3. Just run past her when she starts circling. However, if she activates it and you're in melee range, it will immediately work.

Crimson Drive

Kasha glows with a crimson aura while spinning her whip above her head. After the third spin, she dives forward.

Use Burst Break Counter (R2) when she connects with your body.

Wheel Spin

Kasha spins around the player, trapping them within a fiery circle, before leaping into the air and striking them with her whip.

Dodge the flames then parry the whip.

Summoning Circle

Kasha whips the ground, creating a circle of Yokai energy, as well as spawning two demons.

The demons are really annoying, as they can pelt the player with stones to stunlock them. Try to take them out while keeping an eye on Kasha.

Fire Weave

Kasha drives in a wavy line pattern, leaving two burning streams in her wake.

Stick to one direction and run away.

Fire Top

Kasha throws a burning wheel at the player.

This is slow enough that it's easy to parry.

In case it wasn't obvious, Kasha is a flame-heavy boss, so make sure to use as much fire-resistant gear as possible when entering this arena.

Kasha has some annoying traits, most notably that she's constantly on fire. Her attacks deal fire chip damage, while her wheels leave fiery trails that take ages to disappear. In short, she's a nightmare for the no-hit speedrunners.

Kasha does have a few weaknesses, most notably her massive hit box. Thanks to the wheels, Kasha is a very wide target with slim attacks, meaning that hitting her from the back is the best way to deal with her.

Kasha's width also makes her vulnerable from the front. If you run between her legs and stay there, then many of her whip attacks will overshoot and miss.

Defeating Kasha is all about spacing. Most of her moves can be parried, so the main goal is to always circle her and be ready to deflect whenever she throws a move.
